I love the black rose print dress, especially with the little peek of green from the underskirt and the leaves over the bodice, it has a lovely movement from that floaty fabric. I love that you can get two looks from adding the over blouse on the green one.
l love this lady's channel she lines and hand finishes and makes the cloth work for her. and the finished result is beautiful. She was obviously taught to sew Well. So many of the channels and even sewing magazines have a slipshod attitude to sewing now that l despair. l wàs taught to sew in the 60s and its lovely seeing someone turning out such gorgeous dresses.
Thank you so much 😊 I do love the insides of my garments to look beautiful (plus the longevity factor). I’m entirely self taught and have been sewing for about 9 years now 😊. I love that is always something new to learn. Thank you again
I like the leaf dress, because… leaves! My go to dress is the Pattern Emporium Take The Chance shirt dress. I add a bust dart and the waist ties. And the Meet You There long puff sleeves. But I find it such a versatile pattern!
I love all the dresses, and they certainly don't look like the same dress at first glance. The green one wins because... green! 💚 I love the idea of adapting a pattern for different looks, and reaching the point in my sewing where I can do that without it going horribly wrong was awesome. Not that I haven't done it before; the results were just a lot less satisfying. 😂 Right now, I have the Twig & Tale Fable dress as a half-finished blouse version as a wearable toile, am planning one with a long tiered and gathered skirt and bishop sleeves for autumn, and hope to get a sleeveless, shorter summer version out of 2m of viscose-linen. Reusing a pattern definitely doesn't have to mean that all your clothes look the same. ❤
I absolutely re-use my patterns. It’s such a hassle to fit a pattern that there is no way I want to constantly do new ones! I like this approach. For me, the Luna pants are a re-use, as well as the Moneta and Stasia dresses.
Love the "same bodice, different skirt" idea. I have tried a different bodice, same skirt with the Cashmerette Honeybourne dress and really like doing that. I LOVE the rose dress in the Spoonflower fabric with the stacked pleats; so chic! Thanks for the dry cleaning advice too. Thank you!
Love all your Grace dresses, hard to pick one as they’re all so different, but I do have a weakness for florals on a black background 😍 My tnts would be the Named Kielo dress and the Deer and Doe Sirocco jumpsuit!
These are all so gorgeous! The yellow and the red are especially nice. I'm currently working my way through the Cashmerette Springfield tank "One Top 10 Ways" but I'm combining some of the hacks, so I will probably end up with 6 or 8 of them. Your creativity has inspired me so much and I'm learning a lot!
Hello Sian, I love the way how you have re-used a sewing pattern and yet they look different. All of them are amazing 🤩. I have a wedding to go in August, I was wondering if you could let me know where I can get this sewing pattern? I love your videos- you have given me the courage to sew for my self. Thank you so much.
Trying to work out how many times I've used some of my favourite patterns! Taika (and evolutions): 8 (I think). Original sleeves (but without the elastic), long sleeves for a winter version, tulip sleeves. Flutter sleeve next I think. Adapted Burda jersey maxi: > 10, original wrap sleeveless bodice, V-neck non-wrap bodice, sweet-heart neck non-wrap bodice. Long sleeves, short sleeves, flutter sleeves. Dragons, dinosaurs, insects, leaves, florals, Christmas! Imogen top: > 10 Several others :)
I just counted the dresses I've made from a 50's dress pattern I drafted for myself - more than 80! Some are sleeveless or with sleeves, some full skirted, tiered or frilled and some with a pencil skirt- each permutation is different. I never get bored with this T&T as it's flattering and become my signature style. ( By the way, I have more dresses than days in the year - even after a recent cull and I love them all. The joy of making your own dresses!)
Love the idea of a ruffle on the Grace dress! Although I definitely have TNT patterns (the SOI pussybow blouse!), I don't have a great TNT dress pattern. I need to find one!
I love all the dresses! My T&T is actually not even for me. The pattern I've made most is the button down shirt I make for my husband. I've made 6 or 7 now and he just loves them. I don't even have to think about the construction anymore unless I'm colorblocking or something. I'm planning to retrace it and tweak it a bunch to make a top for myself because I have been known to steal his shirts.
Excellent video. Love all the dresses, but my favourite has got to be the rose dress, (of course). its so designer and so flattering, really elegant. Second fave is the green one, so interesting how more relaxed it looks in lawn, and the shirt n top is genius . Would be fascinated to see it tweeked further and trousers would be interesting. TNTs, the donny shirt for summer, and blackwood cardigans, so handy when cooler, simple lines goes with everything , I have them in almost every colour!
@@KittenishBehaviourSian I’ve currently bought some patterns to make for my mum and get confushed with jargon is there any were I can contact you on for some guidance please ?

You are one of the UA-camrs that inspired me to make more of what I love to wear and not just move on to the next new pattern. 💜💜💜

I can’t even pick a favourite, they are all stunning ❤
I love them all but the black with the roses I adore !!!
Oooo...the green one is my favorite with the black a close second. The others are gorgeous too!
I do love the fact that you reuse your patterns and find new ways to use them. That rose fabric is just stunning!
The are all so beautiful 👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾. The ruffled Trashy Diva dress would so work with this pattern. I can't wait to see you make it.

What lovely dresses, I think my favourite is the black roses because that skirt is just amazing but they’re all beautiful. 🍓🧶🌈💙
You’ve definitely got your sewjo back Siân! You sounded so happy in this video. The dresses are stunning and you look stunning in them all. C x

Sew-jo! I love it. This popped up on my feed. Liked and subscribed. And I love the "one bodice, multiple skirts"!

Wow gorgeous dresses. So flattering on your figure 😍 I love the black floral and chestnut one the most 😊
Loving the dress you're wearing
Absolutely gorgeous x

It has a more flattering skirt as well!

The twirling is soooo gorgeous! Oh my goodness Sian, these are such sensational dresses. What a way to ignite the SewJo 💃💃🤩🤩🤗🤗 Gx
Your Grace Dresses are stunning! I wish I had a longer torso so I could look as good in one as you. I especially loved the yellow one.
I love them all! I am here for all the preety things 😁.
They all look fab 💕
Bonjour Siàn.... absolutely amazing, I love them all! Christine 🐱🇨🇦🐱
Have succumbed to some of the horse chestnut fabric....
Haha!! Getting my own back and "making" you buy fabric...... ;)
Those roses..*sigh*❤
I love them all 😍... but still want to steal the yellow one 😅.
ST:DS9 is an amazing show! Have you started watching Strange New Worlds yet?
Can you please do a tutorial on how to do the tiered and gathered skirt (yellow)? Though I do worry it would make me look too hippy … 🤔
Already done and linked in the description 😊
@@KittenishBehaviourSian thank you!!!
Brilliant
What bodice would be similar to this that we could use?
By Hand London Kim dress, Lekala 4131 are similar :)
DEEP SPACE NINE YAS I knew you were cool
Also very excellent dresses
They are all so gorgeous!
