is it advisable to put oil in bolts while torquing?
cause i think it will act as lever to your bolt making it over tight while torquing.
Cat says to do a wet toque in the service procedure
I've seen cylinder head torque specs that suggest oiled threads.

Turning pins and bushings is a total waste of money
Its the labor to turn pins and bushings that gets you. I can buy new rails cheaper then it costs to turn the pins and bushings. Plus finding a good used set of rails is also more cost effective.
I agree. total wast of time and money. it's a lot of down time
RDO is the worst thing that happened to our john deer dealership here in Kalispell Mt - everyone in the forestry industry is moving over to cat now because of them, terrible parts department unorganized unreliable and no knowledge of equipment

This statement is a real slap at this company. It deserves a qualified why, and they deserve a chance to respond. Must say that not all Cat repairs and services were great, and I used to have to watch their billing like a hawk for over charges. Keep comments on the up and up.
