Thanks for your post, Patrick. Yes, the people of Montserrat are incredibly nice and peace-loving. Generally speaking, they are kind, principled, and community-oriented, as well as creative, skilled, and fun. If you can, try to visit during the St. Patrick's Day festivities--you will see, do, and learn a lot (and drink copious amounts of Guinness). Though visiting any other time of year would be just as worthwhile, I imagine. Hope you like our documentary--please feel free to share it with others who might be interested. Best, David

Montserrat is a blessed island. I hope to make it my home one day. It may be a small community island but it has MUCH to offer. The rest of the Caribbean can learn a lot from Montserrat! God Bless Montserrat!!

Fair play to the people of Montserat, it must be the fighting Irish spirit mixed with the resileince of its African descendents that make them so Unique. My regards from ireland, im telling ya, u guys should start getting connected with us back here in ireland, we'r all emigrating again this time by our own will, let us know if ya need any workers.. Lol, we could set up a serious turistic industry, build hotels and prosper... the Irish and the people of Montserat once again! LOL Tiocaidh ar lá!!

The Irish government should be over there and encouraging them to come over and live and work in Ireland.

😂 Montserratians in Montserrat intend to die there. Don’t need rescuing by Irish who can’t even rescue themselves.

Re: the Irish name Sweeney It should be noted that the Scottish Gaels were actually descendants of Gaelic emigrants to Scotland. The word 'Scotus' is Latin for 'Irishman'. Scottish settlers who moved to Ireland (and especially Ulster) may already have been of Gaelic Irish descent. ;-)
