- This is the demo version of the song Stirb Nicht Vor Mir that was released on the 2005 album Rosenrot. It has slightly different music than the final version. It also has different lyrics. Sharleen Spiteri does not sing in this version, so it's sung entirely in German. The lyrics in this version also give it a much sadder tone.
This means to me so much more than the final version
"Doch meine Tränen sieht man nicht / sie fließen hinter dem Gesicht / und werden bis zum Sonnenschein / der Tau in deinen Lenden sein." Only Till can write something beautiful like this...

The guitars sound how trekking along apathetically from uneventful day to uneventful day feels. That feeling then stirs up an even greater feeling of longing in me, as if I am thirsting for something outside of my ultimately pointless routine that I will never obtain. I am trapped in a one way trip to the grave. The music, not being decidedly “sad”, makes it even more painful. The instrumentation displays shades beyond direct sadness, it scores the tragedy of the journey. The trip that’s damned from the start. There is so much in the music itself that I love without even getting into the lyrical component and meaning of the song as it's written. Combined with Till's poetic lyrics delivered by his special brand of rawness and unbridled emotion, this version cements itself as the best version for me. This song moves me and I adore it. I thank you for the upload.

the demo's of Was ich Liebe, Stirb Nicht Vor Mir, and Eisenmann are some of my favorite songs they ever had. The real version of this is great, 2 soulmates that maybe never meet; this version is like an incel on the hopium that he'll find something that's never going to happen.

Dimmskii false info, this is the only known 100% new song from 2005. There are five versions. Full English with till and different lyrics, French with some French singer, German with till only, German with bobo (girl from Engel), and the album version

However, I know for a fact that this song was originally supposed to be one of the focal points of the Mutter album.
If you don't believe me, look at the lyrics. They fit with the whole theme of Mutter...

i read somewhere that the demo actually was actually sung along with Bobo (previously collaborated with Rammstein in other songs), same as this case, completely in german... and the band actually prefers that version too... however there's no release of it
The recording sounds rough I'm not sure if that is intentional but it gives the song a more impact in a weird way
It's just because it's a demo version - essentially when you create demos, you don't render them at full quality to protect it from being too widely listened to (The idea is that people don't want to listen to low quality music)
That's not the case here; whoever leaked this demo intentionally downgraded the quality severely and beyond any digital repair. The original quality of the recording is actually quite polished.
@@JJE990 no dumbass demos aren't low quality because they don't want people listening to it, it's because it's just a recording that's just used to help remember the song, so they don't care enough to mic up properly, mix, or master it

Lyrics are much better and much more touching.
This song reminds me of Soda Stereo: Ella usó mi cabeza cómo un revólver. They have that heartbroken energy. The beat even has that depressing sound to it. Listening to such a song causes feelings of isolation and sadness. You truly understand their pain upon listening to the song. I wish they would record a proper studio version of this (alongside the demos of Biest [Tier] and Was ich Liebe [Pussy]. Can't forget Schwarzes Glas). Songs like this deserve more recognition. Sure, the final product is great, but these songs are just as great. It's sad to see such strong songs go to waste like this because they couldn't see the potential in them. I hope one day they'll remaster and release these songs officially.

Also, Rammstein, please, for the love of god, release this as an alternate version. Please. Doesn't have to be a cd, just record with your own equipment if you have any, set up a small crowd funding whatever and release it online. Sharleen's voice is very nice but it just doesn't fit into the song!

Andrew Jackson the original song is blocked by UA-cam so you won’t be able to find it on here. This is the demo version of the song before it was released on the album, that’s why it doesn’t sound very clear.
Such a better version! I really don't like the final version, it just seems too cheesy with the lady. This is more of what it should have been intended.

Too bad the band didn't like this version. While I do love the story behind the released version, Sharleen's voice doesn't suit the song AT ALL. They should've kept Bobo's. This version is better.

Hmm, I'm listening to this version for the first time and I suddenly like it. I consider "Strirb nicht" the worst song of the album, but this... This is way much better. That's a pity they've remade this song eventually.

I always interpret this version as Part 2 from the one with the female vocalist where the man's soulmate has died. Mainly cause Till sings alone and this version sounds gloomier.
