The fact INDYCAR got to sit back and see how awful Motorsports games has been and yet decided to not only have them make a game but have exclusive rights is beyond me. Whoever made that decision needs to be fired or maybe INDYCAR just likes burning money.

At least with sports car racing being global, there's plenty more competition. IMSA is tight with both iRacing and Forza, and there's also Gran Turismo, Project Cars 2, AC & ACC, probably more.

I know Ea sports NFL and other games been garbage lately but I always enjoyed the nascar games made by them whoever they choose I hope they take their time and truly do a good job even if it takes until the end of next year

If they're taking this long for 3 game modes, the on track product better be top tier if not I think me and everyone who buys it will probably never touch another game made by them

@@brett22bt No he setup an AI race and altered the AI to get out of the way. iRacing has a ton of settings you can use to control the AI and how the behave. The standard behavior is that the AI are much more similar to a real person and would hold their line. You can actually get some decent practice from the AI races in iRacing.

Nascar seems to have wised up and realized MotorSport games are making terrible Games so they cut ties with them, the downside is it might be a few years for a good Nascar game, and Indy is still moving forward with this game, I'm like you I have a nice set up and I want to race Nascar, F1 and Indycar but if the Indycar game is just Nascar ignition with an Indycar render on it I'm not paying for it which is ashame because I was really excited to race Monaco, Indy 500 and Coke 600....
I find ignition to be a really good game actually. The cars act more like an actual nascar, you just run through people like a normal game, you actually have to be patient and have the skill of driving racecars. But I play it everyday and can race all tracks clean with no issues.
I waited this game "only" for career mode. I hate only Codemasters F1 games has a really immersive career. MotoGP and WRC games also has, but one is two wheel and the other one rally
Whats up with game studios announcing games a year before they come out, then releasing a quarter way finished game, updating it to be a little more then half done, then starting all over again. no wonder i racing and ACC have been popular for so long

Nascar Ignition is still broken to this day. They’ve sold many different DLCs, but haven’t fixed restarts, yellow flags, the spotters, or the CPU driving. Who would trust this studio to produce a new game?
No Career or Season mode? I don't know if I would wanna spend money on an official IndyCar game that has neither of those. I hope that the developers will include that in the final build before release or there's no way in hell I'll be buying it.
Funny thing about this game is it’ll actually be decent just bare bones but will have the feel and look of Indy prolly with terrible AI tho l, I predict Indy license will be back with iracing by 2026
They're literally just gonna slap an Indycar render on the Nascar game... I was so excited to be able to race the Indy 500 and do a full season but now I'm pretty disappointed.. Indycar could have a series revival with a really good game, but they're going the wrong direction right of the bat... sad, racing and physics are probably gonna be horrible also. I really wish Nascar and Indycar would do just 1 thing for the fans and let EA take over. I'm fine with paying for DLC if it's worth it.
Imo NASCAR Ignition has some good things about it, I feel that it gives a more realistic feel than any of the NASCAR Heat games, and the car sounds are wayyy better than the Heat games, now granted Ignition does have its flaws that are annoying....mainly the ones that freeze or crash the game, but other than that, it's decent I'm actually looking forward to Motorsport Games Indycar game
In real life your eyes adjust to it kinda making it seem like it’s not there. So a transparent halo in sim is actually more realistic to real life than a fully opaque one

I was happy to try NASCAR 21: ignition when it hit Xbox Play Free days..... because then I learned that I could save $60 and not have to play a piece of shit.
BTCC already binned that dev when they weren't happy with what they'd put together at the first stage after giving them the license. I and many other Touring car fans gutted, but at least they didn't ruin the franchise.

It'll be kind of the same. Kartkraft also only has "Race now, race online and time trial" in a barebones state. Not to mention that you HAVE to be online to play, if the servers shut down the game dies. Kartkraft at least offers something unique and fun even with its flaws, for IndyCar it's gonna be meh.

No one who is a serious sim racer will show any interest in another manufacturer. When the current points leader plugs iRacing as "perfect," its hard to believe that any other game has a shot. When you try and compete in this space you must realize you are going up against a product that is 20 years plus, in development. No person who is already on iRacing will ever give any other sim "game" a sniff. When the current "world champion" is seen on iRacing hours after winning a race, you must question whether investing any money competing in this space wise. Even the sim which the teams use," rFactor pro," has 20 plus years of development. I feel sorry for anyone trying to enter this space.
@@AustinOgonoski Professional team simulators for the sole purpose of training their driver on their car on their tracks has a very different set of needs. rFactor Pro is a good base physics engine which is easily customizable by these factory teams to provide the simulator experience they want. iRacing is for the general public, rFactor Pro is very much not.
More competition is always good, simracing hardware had an innovation boom in the last couple of years and now it's time for software to get even better. Not necessarily talking about MSG but Kunos, Reiza and Rennsport. Good thing iRacing isn't slacking and already scaled up the physics development team.

I like the way all the other drivers make it easy to pass by moving up the track like that to get out of the way.

They had one in iracing that had a huge turnout for the annual Indy 500 sim race. Indycar decided to squander all of that goodwill.
