Hi Ramdy.
I just got Descript and am trying out overdub. When I use it, I get a warning "Performing overdub on media containing video sequences will remove any video for the generated range. Do you want to proceed?" It removed the video when I proceed, unlike in your demo where it just replaces the audio portion. Is this a setting that I don't have done right, a user error, or is this a change in the software? Great video by the way. One of the reasons I made the jump from Camtasia.

thank you. I was wondering if you could help me with this question as well. Is shure mics compatible with hp laptops? I noticed when on a gaming pc my sound is alot better when recording a video on streamyard. Speaking of the site, when I play the saved video back it sounds perfect on the gaming pc. It sounds professional and like a podcaster episode. But when I play it from my phone or my laptop it sounds like my regular voice as if I’m talking to someone on the street.

Hello Ramdy, like the sense of humour (Spelling is Canadian) but I wanted to know if you can re-record the voice in the Text-to-speech of your own voice as I have done it and it wasn't recorded that well. Can it be re done?

When I hover over the yellow words, "Enable Speech Generation" doesn't show up.

I always do screen recordings, recording audio and video directly into the script. Any time I try overdub, it tells me I will lose the video for any dubbed audio. "Performing overdub on media containing video sequences will remove any video for the generated range." How do I fix this so the video stays but the audio is replaced?

Yeah dude how is this guy overdubbing all willy nilly on UA-cam, but we get this stupid warning. WTF Descript we asked this 4 months ago..

it's so dodgy though- descript is so bugged & often doesn't work. E.g. try the "write" tool to generate audio. it works 95% of the time, but sometimes won't generate audio.
