thanks for this. yesterday i had a little fall in which i tore my LCL, sprained my wrist and broke my thumb. i took my splint off to take a shower and couldn't exactly remember how to rewrap it. this video was definitely the closest to how mine was done, thanks a lot ^_^
When I had a thumb spica done they didnt do any kind of padding just the fiberglass then wrapped it with ace wraps two of that it the fiberglass really hurt it
i have a spica on my thumb today but my thumb is warm, red and numb with pins and needles in it, it feels fairly tight, should i leave it on or take it off imedietly? its supposed to stay on for 2 days and then take off.
so you need that plaster fabric to make it hard under it but one question my uncle broke his arm and the casting tape i think the color thing that you put on it yu know what i mean how dose that get hard on my uncles cast on the color stuff is hard how do you make it like that
at soccer a ball bent my thumb backwards. xrays only showed a torn ligament and was put a thumb splica. doctor said leave it 7-10days. my thumb is moveable again but after 2weeks it hurts when i try to bend my thumb inwardz all the way like a fist. feels like if my nerve is being stretch and even hurts in cold weather. what can i do incase i have a pinch nerver at the thumb knuckle or losen my nerve????
When conforming the plaster to the thumb, do you really want to squeeze on it the way you demonstrated? Also, just leaving their arm floating like that; they're going to become tired. Great vid for educational purposes, but practically, there are better ways to do it

or does it become hard when the plaster fabrick harden and it comes hard whith the fabrick

what is the last thing you put on the hand? what does is call? and where can u buy it?
