For anyone who's confused, the two separate kits for the Thirdeye blindspot system are for different indicator options. Both kits have blindspot, lane change, and rear collision warning. All three functions are detected by the single radar that goes on the rear of the bike. The difference between the kits is that one has the hockey puck looking indicator that you mount on your handlebars that lights up, gives audible alerts, and is also the control module, all in one. The hockey puck and the radar both connect to a harness that connects to the battery. The other kit forgoes the hockey puck unit. It's control module is the silver rectangular box, which you can hide under the seat or wherever, and then the two smaller units are stuck to your side mirrors and thats where your audible and visual alerts come from. So basically it's an all in one that you mount on your dash, or separate control unit and alert modules allowing you to put them on your side mirrors as a car would typically have them. Both kits provide all of the same usable features.
Also, the 3 second spec that he stated is not the time is takes for the system to recognize a potential threat. It's the "time to collision" within which the system alerts you. So if someone is 3 seconds or less away from hitting you, you get an alert, which is actually a lot of time though it may not sound like it.

I've had the H5 for about a year now, and I haven't had any issues with it. The standard battery that comes with it does last up to about 5 hours. The camera will accept up to a 512gb SD card and with the camera connected to an external battery you can record for up to 24 hours (just clip the battery to your pack so you don't have to deal with it running down your body). The USB adaptor to connect to an external battery is a separate charge. The videos can be broken down into 5 minute sections (but you can change that setting) and it does not overwrite. The on/off button also acts as a still camera so you can take pictures while you're riding. It's easy to access the SD card when you remove the camera from your helmet, or you can connect the camera to a BT device to access the videos/pictures. It is completely made of plastic, which makes it light, initially I was concerned about that but I've put mine through scorching heat, down to 30 degree temps and torrential downpours so it's durable. The video looks great and with the right placement on your helmet you get a great POV of your ride on the video. The gimbal mount makes it possible to place it on your bike if you prefer. It's hard to beat for a sub-$300 camera. 10/10 would recommend.
