    Honest guy! I have heard the stories of mechanics not fixing the threads and just slapping it back together. Great video!

    Thank you. I was able to replace the timing belt and water pump on my 2007 Highlander. It is because people like you that share your time helping people like me that makes UA-cam such an amazing resource. BTW I had almost 160K on my original timing belt and my water pump was starting to leak. I think I did this job just in the nick of time.

    All Toyota Siennas from the 2007 model year to present are equipped with timing chains and interference engines while all Siennas prior to 2007 have timing belts that will require replacement and non-interference engines

      Mike D I have a 2004 also with less than 200k on it check the belt by taking 1 bolt on the front belt cover to take a peek. I noticed my belt had cracked on every inch. so changed the seal, belt , water pump , tensioner and the bearings it’s a long project. Not worth the risk on belt braking it’s an interference engine.

    My mechanic came to my house to do this job but he broke one of the long screws 😞 and he stared to put everything back on and said to me. Bring this car to the junker 😞 don’t know what to do because I’m scared that nobody will want to work on it whit that screw broken. 🤦🏻‍♂️ any advice? Pls.

    10:50 That is something I can't move to have access on the timing belt tensioner bolt. Wondering which bolt were removed to make that thing move. I am missing something.

    I don’t like the gasket set up on this water pump, I use permatex glycol resistant sealer on both sides of the metal gasket.

    he visto tus videos y se ve que eres buen mecanico, pero para cambiar el timing belt i dont think you have to remove the cowl,en esta van,

    • @MaicSalazarDiagnostics
      @MaicSalazarDiagnostics  7 років тому +1

      amorozzo70 correcto, solo lo hago para trabajar más cómodo, para poder aflojar el tornillo del árbol de levas trasero es más fácil así, hay muy poco espacio y está súper apretado. Pero tienes razón no es necesario.

    I have 200000kms on my 2006 Sienna, and I had brought my van to the main shop in town and they said they couldn’t do my timing belt and water pump because they “didn’t have the tools” and I had the parts with the van and they still couldn’t do it
