Nice find! Another one of those Fisher-Price cassette recorders. I only have another kids cassette recorder which is a "My First Sony" cassette recorder TCM-4500 from 1991 with a cute looking red design with a yellow speaker grill on top and a blue handle and missing the original red & yellow microphone. The machine works and runs on 4 C batteries and it's a DC bias.
What's that cable coming out the back of the recorder, is that for the AC Adaptor? Did you need to add that socket or was it already there? Did you also need to add the earphone output? I don't see a battery cover on the back, is it underneath the recorder? Out of the 2 Fisher Price tape recorders you now have, which one do you like more?
Hey Ricky, just to tell you that on my Mac, the Safari web browser blacks out all the videos on your channel! Other channels seem to play fine. If I watch your vids on the same computer but another browser, e.g. Chrome or Firefox, there is no problem! Not sure what has happened it was fine until you posted your latest mechanical pencil video!
The record function is pretty good. Too bad the playback amplification is cruddy. Played back on the Walkman and connected to the PC, the audio quality is very warm.
Sony was a big deal at the time for making kids cassette recorders under the "My First Sony" brand from the late 80's to early 90's. fisher-Price did with it, but Sony did. Many of the cassette recorders under "My First Sony" are all DC Bias rather than AC Bias. Sony made an AC Bias cassette recorders, but I see a Sony Walkman shown, but it's the same brand as "My First Sony".
I had one similar to this from the mid 90's. it looked very similar. I can no longer find what happened to it, but it worked very well and I loved it.

My school used to have those Fisher-Price tape recorders too.
neat player.sounds real good.makes you feel like a kid again.
I've still got mine up in the attic, but it doesn't work as well it used to.
Hey, I remember this gadget from my youth.
Strange. By the way, I will soon be uploading a brand new pencil video, including many newer acquisitions got since the time I made the last one.
I had that same kind of thing made by Playskool that was made in 1993 or '94.

It's the computer, not the camera.
