    Putting my money into US businesses. I expect US to take off under Trump. The UK is falling apart under Labour and they are clueless.

    Could you imagine if we had normal people running the country for the last 27 years. We would be so well off.

      I think we need capitalists running the country.... The average man/woman has no idea how to raise huge amounts of investment imo

    I work in the City in a ‘financial’ type industry and the amount of people in my ‘network’ who have moved to Middle East / Far East (90% Dubai) in the past 18 months, has been eye opening.
    All these smart ‘professionals’ who are (were) higher/additional tax rate payers and have just had enough.
    People ranging from 23 years old to 54 I know have made the move, with and without families/kids etc.
    I personally like the UK, despite all of its FLAWS and wouldn’t want to move away because of family, but the more I think, the harder I find it to justify staying here…

      I know so many people in a similar situation and again 90% Dubai - so easy to move here, you got money they want you!

      @ I can imagine. But then you could counter that with UK not much fun in the winter.
      Spend summer indoors in air con in Dubai
      Spend winter indoors in the heating in UK
      Swings and roundabouts

    We have had socialist economic policy’s of high tax and high immigration to artificially boost GDP for the last 14 years , the Labour government is just continuing this trend .
    If we want to Reform the economy we need to vote for Reform.

      I agree, conservatives were far more left than they ever have been, I do think that the now labour gov is taking it too a new level though!

    Totally agree with you that the UK should reduce taxation and encourage businesses to prosper. Why is Labour so hell bent on driving the country into a meltdown crash recession? The country is destabilized enough without Starmer's intervention. It's utterly crazy!

    I think you may be right... or wrong. The increase in minimum wage may drive a lot of international companies away from the UK, to locations where labour costs are lower.

    • @InvestwithMarkParham
      @InvestwithMarkParham  18 днів тому

      100% I think it will, I think if we want international businesses to be based out of the its going to be impossible when our minimum wage is double that of the USA, 20% higher than Germany, 30% higher than France and double that of Spain. We are not competing with our even close counterparts.

    • @samhodgins9804
      @samhodgins9804 18 днів тому

      @@mansar172 and the 'living wage' is based on arbitrary figures and then prices increase, inflation fuels and it becomes completely valueless but explain this to a diehard Labour voters and they just bleat Labour care for the workers. Labour voters live by socialist maxims and completely ignore reality

    Labour’s/Starmer’s Twitter channel alone speaks volumes about how many people are disgruntled about tax increases. Not a positive comment in sight. Hundreds of small business owners stressed and are complaining about the effects these rises are causing to them personally. It’s very doubtful Labour understands business or wealth creation and its necessity to Britain and the British people.
    Such a sad time to be in for entrepreneurship

    • @InvestwithMarkParham
      @InvestwithMarkParham  19 днів тому

      I agree completely, lots of people are going to suffer under this high tax environment and unfortunately a lot of them will be the people who voted for this. I cant see anything other than a lowering of living standards for the average person unless we change tact soon!

      Great video Mark, you're on form with this one 👌
      These people are criminals. How do we let them get away with telling a complete tissue of lies to get in power and then do the opposite? Democracy died a long time ago.
      I think it's a case of riding out the storm for the next 4.5 years. There will be a boom, these problems in the economy just delay and inflate the boom. Demand is off the scale so it will be big.

    Hi Mark, how do you pay lower tax in Dubai if all your property income is in the UK assuming in a limited UK company surely the UK tax still applies to you?

    • @InvestwithMarkParham
      @InvestwithMarkParham  18 днів тому +1

      Simple, I do pay UK Tax on all my property income (or lack there of right now due to high interest rates), but thats not my only or even main source of income.

    I’ve seen many socialist governments come and go and expected these problems but the extent has surprised even me. The arrogance and lack of accountability has also been a surprise. They are trying have access to people’s bank accounts and I wonder what’s next. ID cards? Travel & work restrictions?
    The extra tax , high energy costs, new employment legislation is killing businesses. Where’s the tax revenue coming from then? But this always happens under Labour. This time, we’re in a worse situation and taxes are already too high, so we will see more inflation, higher interest rates , more unemployment, with a recession. We already see it in the chemical manufacturing industry, which is an early indicator.

    • @InvestwithMarkParham
      @InvestwithMarkParham  18 днів тому +3

      I oporate a taxi company, we move people around, there is a drop in demand across the board from businesses conducting international travel to the everyman doing their night out. Wait for the GDP numbers, they may artificially prop them up with the public sector spending but without private business and people to pay for that, thats a short lived game.
