This video is so relevant to my current situation of wanting to move from Tampa Bay Area because the energy over here isn't for me. I'm on a completely different wavelength than like 90% of people over here. I've always felt I belong in Europe. Haven't been yet and want to go this summer more than anything. But like you said..don't let not having money or anything like that get in the way of your dreams. I believe that, despite the fact that I have no money right now, I will find a way to travel and go to concerts and live my own creative life. But my family and society says I'm just an unrealistic dreamer and I need a plan B. I don't believe in plan B either. I'm honestly having a hard time because society is more catered toward people who want a family, stay at home mom, 9-5 job... That's not me. I'm an artist who feels like a fucking alien most the time. If you have any tips on making money through blogs, social media, film, etc... I'd really appreciate it. I want to live that "influencer" life, in that I want the freedom to create and inspire and actually make money and travel and free clothes would be fucking great too! I waited a long time to start my fashion blog and am working on videos and photography and music now. So much I want to do and I have so little energy (chronic fatigue). Your environment is a reflection of you. never blame the environment because it is not the problem. "Where ever you go there you are". You running away from LA will not solve your problem. You can go anywhere and you will have the same problem because the problem is you. Two people can live in the same environment. One person thrives and other is stagnant because of who they are inside. This is why you have people that live in slums ( like Jay-Z) and they become successful despite their environment. Than you have people who are in the same circumstances and they crumble because they were not strong. It doesn't matter if this person leaves the slums because it is a flaw from within.
Yes and no. I always used to tell myself "It doesn't matter where you live, what matters is what lives in you." when I lived in LA. But it's also true that certain places, our atmosphere can impact our mental health and thoughts, can unconsciously trigger stress or memories of traumatic experiences, etc. Yes, you are right, but even the fact that if while you live somewhere you feel like you should be somewhere else and you don't feel at peace with your surroundings, that is all the reason in itself to go where you do feel at peace. :)
Sonya Esman You can't move to the environment you want without doing the most that you can in your current environment. Removing yourself from your environment is running away from your karma. You have to change it and not run away. I guarantee you that the problems you faced in LA will come up again because you did not change that karma. You can never run from your problems but can change that poison into medicine. Believe me I was in an abusive household. I thought once I left things would get better so I ran away. I ran away from the environment but not the karma that I needed to change from that situation so my problem never left even though I left the environment. As you get older you will realize this. All I did was hop from one abusive boyfriend to the next and didn't know why my situation wasn't changing when my environment was.
The environment we live in has a very high effect on us, the city we live in, the county we live in, the culture that surrounds us. I believe a person who says find your self, find your karma in the place you are at the current time, has either not traveled enough or lives a comfortable steady life. To find inspiration, to be happy, to feel motivation to live and wake up everyday with a smile, we need to have that something that keeps us going. Sometimes its an amazing place, a vibrant city, local culture, work we like more than anything or the person we love. We should always seek in our life to explore as much as possible, expend the horizons of our imagination, lean new things, see what we haven't seen yet.
I absolutely agree with what you say about cities having different energy, and it's important to choose the right one for yourself, I'm happy that you decided to move to New York, and excited to see more NY videos :)

When you can't always connect with the people in your direct encounters daily, you can instantly go on youtube and connect with people who are like minded. It's wonderful! Human connection is wonderful. Thanks for being vulnerable and opening up. I needed this video because I am going to start my own youtube channel. Legit going to do it and not going to stand around and be constantly wondering what if. What you said about how everyone is an artist is true, but another way to look at it is by saying it is in our power to see life as an amazing art piece. Outlook. For example when I was walking today it was snowing and you see the beauty of the large snow flakes, or when you look at the sky it's just a beautiful sight/painting, is it even real? Even when your in a bad place, there is beauty and it is your job to focus on the amazingness that is life in each moment to get the most out of life. We all do mundane things at times like cleaning the toilet or cleaning the floors, but take it a step further and see it as an incredible experience. You have arms that allow you to do this task, you have this incredible eye sight to see these things, you even have a toilet lol, etc. Elevate everything bc you never know when you may never experience it again. Sight can be lost, or situations change. Live in the moment. Idk if you read your comments but hope someone read through my rambled comment haha.

Sonya thank you so much for saying these words. It's sooo true that the society likes to put labels on people which pressures these people to do specifically that thing. I'm going to college next year and right now, I don't have an exact answer as to what I want to because there are many things that I find interesting, yet, they don't necessarily connect to each other. Ofcource there are areas that I focus on the most, but as I continue to grow up, I tell myself to continue learning and doing things that interest me, even if they sounds absurd to others. hi Sonya, based on what you said in this video, I think you would learn a lot from and enjoy reading a book called The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoffman. in the book, Winnie the Pooh exemplifies a lifestyle of "effortless doing", and he welcomes life experience without being emotionally burdened by it. the book compares him to the other Winnie the Pooh characters with conflicting attitudes. if you're looking for a new book, I would highly recommend it

I'm going to college next year and right now, I don't have an exact answer as to what I want to because there are many things that I find interesting, yet, they don't necessarily connect to each other. Ofcource there are areas that I focus on the most, but as I continue to grow up, I tell myself to continue learning and doing things that interest me, even if they sounds absurd to others. hi Sonya, based on what you said in this video, I think you would learn a lot from and enjoy reading a book called The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoffman. in the book, Winnie the Pooh exemplifies a lifestyle of "effortless doing", and he welcomes life experience without being emotionally burdened by it. the book compares him to the other Winnie the Pooh characters with conflicting attitudes. if you're looking for a new book, I would highly recommend it
