- This multi-function gear storage box from @YakAttackKayakFishing might revolutionize kayak fishing in ways that nobody can see coming. I have always felt that gear stored out of reach is dead weight in most cases. From putting a few packs of soft plastics and jig on a throw and go lightweight fishing kayak to totally reorganizing all your tackle into these modular and stackable track mounted boxes, your gear organization is about to get an overhaul.
I initially didn't think I would have a need for this, but now I do. I'll be placing an order very soon.
I think that it’s the sort of product that you wonder how you lived without it.
Interested to see how you put these to use!
Thanks Jeff good review can’t ever have enough storage and on lynx probably good tool to have
Thanks mike
Very useful information!
I will probably start with 1 for my soft plastics, which I use a ton of! But I NEED a "junk" drawer too! Right now use my Hobie H-Rail Mini Bin -- but that has no cover.
I just ordered another set and extra bases. They have trays with dividers too.
@@TheLittleStuff I've got them in my "Wish List" -- I'm buying a new Hobie PA 14 360 XR, so need to plan carefully!
I ordered them without a real plan in mind for where to put them or what to use them for…the junk drawer idea is a good one because I use one of my cup holders for that too.
That’s probably the best approach- put them on, see what happens.
Thinking they need some removable or adjustable dividers. A better latch might be a benefit as well, possibly waterproof. Capsizing and I’m getting they’re gone. I’ll likely get some, I like the idea.
They have dividers now.
I ordered the 2 pack. One is going to be for a junk drawer one for my smaller terminal tackle boxs.
Just got mine this morning. Way better than a cup holder. I’m probably going to use one for lures/hooks etc. the other will be a junk drawer 😊
Enjoy it!
I also use my cup holder for lure discard. This will immediately replace my cup holder. Now I just need to go across the street and get another tussey mountain outfitters water bottle 😂
It’s nice how they let you mix and match bottles and lids!
Yakattak on the ball all the time. No such thing as overkill. Haha. Thanks for sharing Jeff
Like you, my cupholder is being used for junk, so one would be for that. Would have to put them on my Unlimited to figure out if I will stack or not...........thanks for the video Jeff!
Thanks for watching Mike!
LOL - you're cup holder looks exactly like mine!
How it should be!
I saw these and tried to order but they were out of stock? I will try again, good stuff Jeff
I think that they released some to a limited number of select dealers. It’s their first run with more on the way.
Don't put your keys or cell phone in them. I plan to have 2, one on each side. I might add one to the top of my black pack, as they have the right divot pattern to screw them to the lid. Not sure I like stacking them, as I can see an accidental bump while getting into the bottom one dislodging the top one off the lid and into the drink. I'll be testing that out to see exactly how much force is needed to dislodge one from the clips. They do not float, which is room for improvement.
One will be easy access for bait packs, jigheads, hooks, etc. Junk box is a good idea for the other. As I get older I dislike turning around to access the crate in the tank well more and more.
Have to be water proof before I'll buy them. And the lid on each looks like it will hold 1/4" of water just on top.
I do camping floats and I always put a small tote in the hull with a lighter, fire starters, can opener, head lamp etc. Small stuff. 2 of these would be nice on the rear tracks of my SS127. Free up some hull space
Wow. Some terrific use ideas in there Shawn!
Lunch a sandwich on the bottom box, fishing lures and junk on the top box
FIRST!!! What’s up Jeff!
It was a quick edit.
I won't buy them till they are water proof and have a few dividers. For me, on rough river water, I don't want to be messin around emptying my boxes.
Sounds like you need some Pelican boxes mounted on track. I’m keeping my “must stay dry” gear in a dry bag. I kind of figure that my lures will get wet. I actually like the Plano boxes with all the holes in it for my saltwater plugs. They will get wet. I will dunk the whole box in a bucket of fresh water when I get home. The holes let it air out instead of trap the moisture in.
