I noticed, that when you blew into the mouthpiece, when you buzzed into the mouthpiece and when you stuck it into the mouthpiece, you didn't check and set the orientation of the shape. It's printed in the box, but just to be clear - to get the full potential of the mouthpiece the two dots on the rim MUST be at 12:00 and 6:00 o'clock to the face.
I"m a guy I had to try it right out of the box before reading the directions. Most if not all of the videos after that have the adjustment correction. Good call though.
@@youngtrombonesPlus - Yeah, they play totally differently when properly oriented. I'm a retired pro who's been playing them since 2016. in fact just ordered yet another one 3 days ago. The deeper shank mouthpieces worked well with my old horn, a Yamaha Xeno 822G bass trombone and they as well as the normal length shanks work terrific on my new Shires.
