I've found that if you break a bottle of rhum agricole on the concrete floor of your basement backbar, the room will smell like a pirate ship until a thorough cleaning is performed.

We love Pinup Palmer and the Swamp Angel! After seeing your reaction, we made one slight modification to the recipe, 1 oz agricole and 1 oz lightly aged blended rum, and enjoyed tremendously
I do like Swamp Fairy as a cocktail name. I do like the Swamp Water, but Mammoth's Tusk I think is a better version with the same general overtones (orgeat, agricole, chartreuse).
I’m sure someone said this already but if you leave the Ango Bitters out, it would stay green! Those are such a dark color, they’ll change any drink to a peach, tan color

Just experienced an a pleasant inclusion of Green Chartreuse in a drink called Rudolph's Hot Butter Rum @ the Blind Rabbit. The Chartreuse was shaken in the making of the whip cream. Looking forward to a great kick off to the new year!

Green Chartreuse to me by itself tastes like you took Wray and Nephew overproof rum and put several packs of wrigleys winterfresh chewing gum in it and let it age. It was $70 in GA, U.S.A. And yes star anise comes to mind also when tasting.

Bought a bottle about 3 years ago at an out of the way liquor store for $58. They had 7 more bottles and thinking should had bought more than one when had the chance. Either way great episode that had me laughing plus a great liqueur.🗿👍
Chartreuse is still very available in Europe. The monks who make it decided to concentrate on their core business and not to increase production. There's some rules in France for businesses as well. It comes off as a shortage, but it's just stable production. A 70 cl bottle is about €45-50 in the Netherlands.

It's hard to overcome the color of bitters, especially angostura. This looks like a great cocktail, though. I've imagine very herbal between the chartreuse and agricole.

Her tasting note of “cows” and “farm” is right on the money. Unaged agricole rhum is often described as “grassy.” She’s good.
