Another day, and another Stryfe Kit. This one is a doozy though, because not only is it something that fundamentally changes the way the blaster operates, but it also requires a stupid amount of work to get working on a LiPo setup. This new kit from XSW features a beautiful high-resolution print, pre-wired for easy use with IMR batteries with few solder points, and fits together seamlessly. I'd love to see an extended rayven with quad fluwheels. It would be made from a longshot. The Rayven's carry handle could be extended/replaced with the longshot's carryhandle too.
the part that you say is some kind of mosfet (which is some sort of transitor) is a diode (just for reference) it only allow the electricity to move one way (depending on the orientation of the component) so it disable the motor breaking on the flywheels

The front end, specifically where your hand goes, seems a tiny bit bulky. But it definitely looks great.

can you run 4 imrs with stock stryfe motters and not burn them out?
I'm not a huge fan of the bullpup blasters in Nerf because of the effects of barrel length on performance. However, this does look pretty sweet. It's a beautiful blaster, and looks like it would be fun to operate.

The one way valve for electricity is called a diode (pronounce it DIE-ode) its alright. Ive only used them about 3 times in my entire life. Thats also after wiring and fixing 5 separate robots.
I’m making/getting as many blasters that look like weapons from destiny, because I live their weapon design. From my research I want to throw fang revamped motors, perhaps instanto wheels, a metal cage perhaps (somewhat undecided), a 2s LiPo, select fire, and this kit on an orange stryfe. I’m fairly certain it will work? Idk. I wish I had more experience modding but I am completely broke, 14, and I don’t have a job :(

That’s crazy prices for a Stryfe over in the US, here in the UK they are retailing at around £20 (somewhere around 25 dollars), and they’re in every shop! Maybe cheaper to buy here and shop over?

Am I just really lucky that the local Kmart has had the orange stryfe in stock for years now? Even picked up a Zombie Strike Longshot there last year, and yes, they are still in stock as well as Rough Cut, and they may be getting more Sledge Fires in.

I do have those, and they're fantastic. The only con is the Rayven doesn't have nearly as many choices in parts.

The Stryfe is super common in the UK. I can go to the local big supermarket and pick one up for £20

Its really not the same. and it's not full auto. Plus Rayvens got for like $70-$90 regardless
There are rayvens on ebay for as low as $40, and if you want full auto just use an autostryfe pusher mech. It can be done.
Ravens have less parts and options over all for cages and other parts in general
If you're looking for performance, you wouldn't want to get a bullpup anyways. The barrel cancels out performance gains you would get from using stryfe-exclusive parts.
Yeah that's not how it works. Most darts can leave the barrel without even touching the walls when you have an accurate cage. There's some impact, but the gains of using the Stryfe as a platform are still far better.
I love it, but I am guessing that it is not built to accept an afterburner, which is a shame.

Running motors in series isn't a great idea to begin with, I have no idea why that kit would have you wire them all up in series. It sounds like you had to run the motors in parallel to reduce the circuit load impedance.

They wired the switches so the pusher is in series with the flywheel motors? Wow, that's a noob mistake... literally I made that mistake the first hyperfire I rewired.
Essentially each motor requires the full voltage of the battery (7.4v nominal for a 2s lipo) to run. if you have one motor or three, they all need the full voltage. If you wire in parallel, you share current but have the same voltage. if you wire in series you share voltage but have full current.
And that "one way valve"... is that a diode? Not sure what good there is in that except for making sure you don't plug the battery in the wrong way, but that's impossible if you wired the connector on correctly, and if you wired the connector on wrong then you might also make the mistake of wiring the diode in wrong so the whole thing is pointless.
UNLESS, there is something that I've missed about their original circuit design. Maybe there's some magic in there that makes it work correctly.
I think what they did, as the motors were in series, was brake the whole lot when the pusher needed to stop, and used the diode over the two flywheels to make a complete circuit and allow the back emf of the wheels to flow unimpeded and spin down while the pusher was braking.
What I think (would need more detail/pics to be sure) walcom did was wire the diode backwards (it should have been silver side to +ve for reference) so that there was a path of much lower resistance and the wheels never span up. Normally this would short the pack, but due to the strange series wiring of the three motors and multiple switches, the current was still cut until the fire switch was closed and the pusher motor prevented a short

The print quality is superb, just like You said - from the distance it was presented it looked like a injection mold. That being said I fail to see what is so cool about the design. It looks bulky, plain and ugly as fuck.
