We loves ours with our caravan as we find that a lot of places won’t allow a fire unless it’s fully contained and of course the cooking. We use a camp oven on it a lot too. Great honest review.

I do like joining in late with the comments Jebs, but here goes.
500 oz bux is a lot of moolah, translate that into English quids is about 250.
HOWEVER, to buy an ozpig in uk ..... 500 English quids, thats around 1000 oz bux.12,000 miles across the sea has a price to pay.
similar items are available in UK. One being the FRONTIER STOVE ... mucho expensimo with it being an American import ( which I dislike because its both American and expensive) and another is Outbacker Stove, which is the direction I went.
I used to repaint my stove after every camping trip until I figured that oiling it while it is still hot is a better option. Oil doesn't burn off like paint, it only gets harder like when you oil your cast iron pots and pans.
one day I will do a review video of this thing, it has been a great piece of kit. but does have it's pros and cons just as your ozpig does.
Review vids are "A-Good-Thing" (tm) , keep them coming.

Excellent review! Using your experience with the Ozpig i have decided on one. Working shifts i like to sit outside and enjoy a beer late at night. I have searched everywhere for an outdoor fire that i can choke out easily and go to bed without stressing. This fits the bill. Being able to cook on it and easily store is an added bonus. Also having the offset flue is perfect for my covered entertaining area. If you're interested Oztrail is running a competition to win a v2 Ozpig

Weve got the Ozpig and also the Hillbilly fire pit, the real advantage with the pig is being able to use it under the awning when it rains, however we generally use the Hillbilly, its slightly lighter even with all the attachments and our van has plenty of storage. With the legs, you need to be careful that you don't get muck in the threads, i wire brush the threads regularly and wash them out with wd40, I've never had a problem and we've had ours for 5 years or so. We also burnt out the grate, but I made a new one myself from some stainless bar. We bought the deluxe bag from Ozpig, this one is very well made and zips up, thick nylon canvas, however its really expensive (I paid $75 at a show, but I believe its around $100 normally, haven't seen it listed on their site. The chimney sections can be a pain to get apart, they've made them too snug , I've found the key is not to push them too hard together and i clean them out with a die grinder and flap wheel. Great review :) Check out my comparison review between the Ozpig and the Hillbilly on our channel :)

I just bought one from BCF for 300 bucks without the extra add-ons and I'm going to use it in a bus that doesn't go anywhere but I live in and I'll be poking the chimney out the window with a bit of creative application

Man I worked at bcf for a while and saw this product, plus the video was streaming constantly and I always wondered it's practically. Ty so much for this video
Always thought it was bogus that the grill top was sold separately and in general a bit over priced but thought they had some potential.
Did think you'd be able to make your own fairly easily a bit cheaper but you'd probably sacrifice how well it stores

Thanks for the video👍, helped me out alot, going to get one tomorrow, definitely suits all my needs ,but ill be definitely making a charcoal plate maybe out of a old grill plate or weld one up out of reo, and make a removable bracket for the rotisserie to be attached,
i thought about making my own but if you add up the materials cost and the time, aswell the electricity to weld it & the grinding mess much cheaper to buy one.

The legs don't need to be threaded. Just having them as unthreaded inserts would do the job because gravity would hold the whole thing down and keep it in place.
And as for kettles, this Ozpig clip on kettle is just over engineered. Why not use a regular generic stainless steel whistling kettle placed on top of the hot plate.
Actually there's a slightly larger 3L version of that called the the Ozpig Big Boar kettle.
And as for the carrying case, you can get a third party one with a zipped top made by "Blacksith" called the Australian Made Cooker Bag (Suits Ozpig Series 2).

We did used to use a stainless kettle and it was fine but Mela likes to have a hot water bottle in her all the time so it is a convenient to have it there and still be able to put wood on and have the grill off. The legs is actually a great point. I should put them in a lathe and clean off the thread!

13:32. Funny you shold say that. It's 1/2" bspt on the legs. Nitto couplers are available in 1/2" bspt. The seals inside will melt, but its not like you need the couplers to seal. Buying 4 males and 4 females isnt cheap.

Thanks mate for your honest review. I brought this yesterday and I was looking for a ozpig reviews on UA-cam just to sort issues what I had on my first use…. I almost faced your pros and cons….. they should immediately address these issues to be a sustainable business and provide an more value to an expensive product.

Mines better. 100mm flew, longer, packs up 3xlengths of 500mm flew pipe inside as well as the legs. Little tip. Drill a 10mm hole into the leges so you can put a screw driver or what ever to undo or tighten the legs.
