Edema Disease

Oedema disease is caused by verotoxin 2e (Vt2e), which is produced by a verotoxigenic E. coli (VTEC). Typical oedema disease has symptoms such as swelling of the eyelids, loss of appetite, lack of motor coordination, difficulty breathing and sudden increase in mortality.
