I ate eggs on toast and it sent me to the hospital to FINALLY be diagnosed with colitis after YEARS of being ignored. YEARS. I was a child having symptoms, it took me going through the most horrible and intense pain I ever felt in my life, throwing up everything including water due to the swelling basically causing blockage.
They thought I was faking or something because they had me sit there in pain for so long.
The MOMENT I was done being scanned by CT scan was the moment faces changed and people were actually urgent to help me and gave me something to help the swelling and pain. Was finally diagnosed with "left sided colitis" but I'm hoping to be able to afford a Dr later on in life so I can properly get diagnosed and see the full extent of damage as I was ignored for over 20 years.

      Cause you know
If I have tits and a vagine I apparently cannot have anything physically wrong with me ever at all and if I DO have something "wrong" I'm just pmsing or cramping or stressed or "hysterical".
Wtf is this shit notion that I'm a fucking robot or something? Can I not fall physical ill? Can I have nothing wrong with me at all? Am I just not allowed or-?

I’m 17 and first felt this a year ago and was in horrible horrible pain for 5 days…. I got over it without going to the hospital and never thought much if it again. Then 2 days ago September 12 I felt the same pain out of no where I was throwing up everything, couldn’t eat anything ,had extreme abdominal pain And felt like dying. I got a CT scan and they said they think I have colitis and now I’m not sure what to do I’m 17 years old btw.

almost 2 yrs ago, i was losing blood internally and didn’t know what it was, got a colonoscopy & found out i had extremely severe ulcerative colitis. at the time i got diagnosed, i was in the middle of a flare up so it took about a month to get biologics & get through all the red tape. well, i kept losing blood. and i went into the ER bc i couldn’t walk 10 steps before feeling dizzy, ringing in my ears, and extreme fatigue. it was a very traumatic experience. it turns out i had a 2.1 hemoglobin lvl. it was by far, the worst time of my life. and what i found out was even worse, was what it did to my mental. and how i am still today. it’s miserable. and everyone tells me i can live a healthy life & all this. but it’s not that simple. reading on google that you can live a healthy and good life jus like anyone else. is a bunch of bs. it’s miserable. im trying to my best to look on the bright side. and idk why im really typing this. i jus needed to get it off my chest i guess.

As a person of faith, I believe that only God can cure you, but you must everything to fight the illnesses that you have. I had ulcerative colitis for many years and then changed my diet and it truly helped me. In fact I have no symptoms whatsoever now (thank God). If you follow this regimen, it can help you:
      1. Don't eat ANY legumes: Beans, lentils, chickpeas, peanuts, chocolate, coffee beans, etc. Ever!
      2. Don't drink milk or use sweet dairy products, such as cake, ice cream, butter, etc. You can eat cheese and plain yogurt.
      3. Don't eat whole wheat or rough grains (avoid roughage...fiber might be healthy for other people but not for you). Eat white bread.
      4. Don't eat nuts, but you can eat soft nuts such as walnuts or pistachio in very small quantities with other foods.
      5. Don't eat high acid fruits and vegetables such as clementines, raw onions, raw celery, raw garlic, cyan pepper, and red chili powder. If you eat an orange, only eat it after a meal, not before. If you drink orange juice, add little water to make it less acidic.
      6. Don't ever use vinegar in your foods or drink it.
      7. Don't smoke or drink.
Now here's what you should eat which would heal you:
      1. Honeydew Melon and Cantaloupe, everyday if you can.
      2. Cooked Zucchini and Squash. If you cook it with Cumin Seeds, it's perfect for you and it's delicious!
      3. Cucumber juice in summer, if you can tolerate it.
      4. White rice mixed with cooked vegetables. White rice with cooked zucchini or squash (see #2 above) is the perfect food for you. You'll feel good the next day.
      5. Egg white with pure honey. Avoid yolk that is not fully cooked.
      6. This is a hard one but if you can do it it would help a lot: take raw egg white of just one egg. Add equal amount of pure honey. Mix the two together as much as you can. Then drink it first thing thing in the morning or evening in an empty stomach. It actually doesn't taste that bad at all. I was scared in the beginning, but once I tried it, it worked.
You can also eat other things, such as meat of course. I try to avoid red meat for other health reasons, but it's not bad. Hamburgers are fine.
It takes some discipline to follow this regimen. If it works for you, let me know. Good luck and may God bless you with good health!

I appreciate the author of the video not authoritatively saying a cause is known. It is very counterproductive to finding better treatments for this disease when so many healthcare professionals are causing learned helplessness in UC patients. There is still a lot to be learned, especially about mitochondria, and how metabolites like ROS may be driving inflammation, which correlates closely to stress, and UC amelioration through electron donating reducers like 5-ASA and antioxidants.

@@sirfitz8125 so since this condition is is an auto immune condition (your own immune system attacks it’s self) generally doctors will give immuno suppressants and anti inflammatory. So for me since it was severe when it was diagnosed they gave me steroids for a few weeks which is a powerful immunosuppressant suppress t and also gave Azathioprine which I believe is slightly weaker. They take you off Steroids and observed me with Azathioprine and also Sulfazalizine which was my anti inflammatory I think but correct me if I am wrong. I think they can also give mezalizine instead of sulfazalizine. I think after another colonoscopy they said they are gonna try and take me off my Azathioprine and just let me stick with mezalizine instead. It seemed that sulfazalizine wasn’t working. And atm I am taking just mezalizine. Hope that helps

Hi, I was diagnosed with severe UC back in 2019 and struggled for years. A few years later I started juicing celery and cucumber every morning to heal my gut, and it’s made a huge difference. Each morning, I juice half a cucumber with 2-3 stalks of celery and drink a glass for breakfast. I’ve also cut down on fried foods and completely stopped drinking carbonated drinks.
Try this juicing routine daily for at least a month-you’ll be amazed by the results. I feel much better now and have been able to reduce my medication significantly. My body is healing itself, and I know others with similar conditions who have benefited from this approach. This is just my personal experience, but it’s worth a try!

By the way I'm Hispanic and Spaniard and no one in my entire family has had UC, which is strange because I don't fit any of the categories you said are likely to have UC. It does not run in my family. I have avoided all my predisposition disorders like diabetes, blood pressure etc.
Isn’t it atrange to be diagnosed at this age? I think it is a mixture of chronic stress and the constant constipation from the morphine and codeine?

I went walking down the block and it felt like something let loose on my left side and abunch of water it felt like "fell" inside me and my whole pelvis area got warm and I quickly got to the bathroom but nothing came out so I layed down and about an hour went by then some diarrhea came out. I felt better for about a day then I took a stool softener and my right side felt like it was about to blow up two hours after and hurt so bad I went back to the doctor then they wanted me to try milk of magnesia and prune juice mixed together then microwaved to get hot then drink and they gave me an antibiotic shot and a course be of oral antibiotics to take, I had another bowel movement the next few days and felt fine and dandy but now it's all comes back, I have migrating bloating in my abdomen switching from left to right and back and forth all day. I'm never comfortable, stressed to the max, and tired as hell. Almost wish I was dead

    Flare
Step 1: Carnivore Diet - until symptoms are gone for a week to ensure additional healing. While doing this make sure you're having water that has no bpa in it, or any tap water at all. When you've healed, you want to add blueberries or something you're tolerant of with very low amounts of Insoluble fiber, you want to have some kefir preferably Coconut. Slowly add one by one other foods such as betroot, carrots, etc. While ensuring you cook them very thoroughly to make them soft and easier to digest.
Step 2: Try to get some soluble fibers into your diet one at a time to test your tolerance, and keep moving forward. Long term use of meat consumption has been shown to lead to the disease in the first place, so be mindful carnivore is a tool, and not a long term solution.

It is not true that U C is a disease to be treated, but is the result of a yet to be discovered inflammatory initiator causing the actual cause. Yes. Symptoms might need treatment but do not actually heal the real causes, of which we have not found. It is a whole body reaction to something yet unknown. No wonder that there are so many ideas to explain the causes and hence remedies which may or may not be useful. I am a retired Medical Doctor. We don't really know what are the real causes as yet folks. Don't fall for every arm chair and You Tube ideas.

Only the complete removal of the colon is considered a cure (total colectomy).
I had a subtotal colectomy which means I kept the rectum which can also become inflamed even after surgery. However I don't have a stoma bag.
