just got cpc 464 to relive my youth. been looking at gotek but had loads of questions eg: conections,setup,instalation and you answerd all many thanks :)
Thanks for the comment. It can be a bit daunting at first, especially for the CPC and Spectrum as you need to have the correct convertor cables, but once everything is set up it is amazing!
No idea to be honest. You can fairly easily add a display to these by the way, theres a few guides online how to do it. You can also add a buzzer to simulate the disk access noises.
Right now restoring a CPC6128, and I wonder if it makes any difference to the machine when playing games if it is a internal or external floppy, like with an Amiga? Back in the days had a CPC464 with cassette and disk drive, therfore I think it shouldn't matter 🤔

Is there a workaround for more than 15 slots in HXC mode? I don't have an oled installed, so i think i can't use the normal gotek mode

There may be some that are funny about which drive (like Amiga), but I would guess the vast majority would work fine from external.
