    just got cpc 464 to relive my youth. been looking at gotek but had loads of questions eg: conections,setup,instalation and you answerd all many thanks :)

      Thanks for the comment. It can be a bit daunting at first, especially for the CPC and Spectrum as you need to have the correct convertor cables, but once everything is set up it is amazing!

    Is there a workaround for more than 15 slots in HXC mode? I don't have an oled installed, so i think i can't use the normal gotek mode

      No idea to be honest. You can fairly easily add a display to these by the way, theres a few guides online how to do it. You can also add a buzzer to simulate the disk access noises.

    Right now restoring a CPC6128, and I wonder if it makes any difference to the machine when playing games if it is a internal or external floppy, like with an Amiga?
    Back in the days had a CPC464 with cassette and disk drive, therfore I think it shouldn't matter 🤔

      There may be some that are funny about which drive (like Amiga), but I would guess the vast majority would work fine from external.
