I teached my 10 years younger step bro to play red alert: retaliation when he was like 6 years old, and he grew up buting some big C&C box for PS, and later HoMM3, we still play Horn of the Abyss sometimes together and drink beer.

I felt that on a spiritual level, the amount of hours I put on playing Bay of Pigs with all kinds of possible combinations (team amounts, factions, placements, etc.) Is probably the most fun I had in my childhood

You guys just gave me a core memory. When I was in elementary school my Dad used to be a computer gamer and would play this game for hours with me watching. Even though he had to grow up before I learned to play games this will always be my best memory of me and my dad together. Not to say we still don’t make great memories today.
My mother introduced me to this game when I was 4 years old. Later that year when I started kindergarten, we were told to draw flags. I drew the flag of the Soviet Union because I knew it was Russia from this game, and they had to call my parents about it. 15 years later it still makes me laugh thinking about it.

I had no idea Vanoss was a huge fan of this game, it played a HUGE role in my childhood as well! Nearly 24 years later and no RTS game ever came close to this series. "Kirov reporting!" "Bombadiers to your stations!"
Every player knows that Kirov is the most powerful unit in Red Alert 2 especially on Numbers. They where known as the nightmare from above, they still give me PTSD Because it took several hours to Set up my Anti-Air Defense like the IFV and Guardian G.I to Counter them.
This was one of the least expected things I expected vanoss to play but I am so glad it's one of his favorite games. This makes me wanna hit up the cnc servers again

Considering next year is RA2's 25th anniversary, and the OG Command and Conquer games got the remaster treatment for their 25th, it might be possible!
