      I believe you need to short some sides. You need to determine which part should be shortened and calculate the new length. Disassemble the bed. Before you do the cut, you need to figure out how to you will reproduce the end-joint. It differs in every makes. Do the cut, and reproduce the end-joint. (You will also need to reduce the size of the mattress, that alone can be tricky. I would use a retractable utility knife for that.)

      Dear @@sharedinventions
      Thank you so much for your help. I am just scared to cutting the bunk bed, because I am just thinking may be I can't make proper holes in bed where from I have to join again. Mattres is smaller than beds.
      Please give me some advices and motivation what shall I do?
      Thanks
      Best regards

      @@tabbicooks337 You might want to make some test holes on some scrap piece of wood laying around to practice you tools. Wood is a great material to work with, you can often fix errors on it. E.g. plugging exiting holes and re-drill them. You have to trust in yourself! :)

    Nice work! Can you tell me what kind of table saw (is that what it is ?) you are using to cut the dowels at 3:49 ? It sounds so much quieter than my table saw. Thanks!

    • @sharedinventions
      @sharedinventions  6 років тому

      Thanks! It's a Lutz Quattro (German model). ua-cam.com/video/pwUD-tN4zOE/v-deo.html The saw in it is not particularly loud. I use it together with a regular shop-vac, what is way more louder than the saw. (The shop-vac is not turned on while cutting the dowels.)

    Who can help me in getting these tools. I am very good in crafting but it is very difficult to find few of these machines.

      As you can see, I have started the build with pre-cut material. So no fancy tools are involved here. What you need is a good handsaw, a drill, and a good sander. You can see me rounding the edges with in a router table, but you can really do that with the sander. (Some basic equipment you need to have tho. Like a bench, clamps, shop square.)

    Nice work do you have the plans and the material list?

    • @sharedinventions
      @sharedinventions  7 років тому

      I have attached the documentation in the video-description with the plans. But no cut-list, as you will likely have different size of materials.

    This guy has so many tools

    • @sharedinventions
      @sharedinventions  4 роки тому

      :) Actually, if you watch it more carefully, I use very limited tools. Yes, I do own a 4-in-1 (combined table-saw, jointer, plainer, router-table) machine, but that is one equipment. Other than that, I've only used some cordless drills and some sanders. You can even do the bevels with the the belt sander, it just more easy to do it with the router-table.
