I don’t get it it. Everyone saw what happened to that girl basketball player in Russia and what it took to get her out. So why did Evan stay in Russia and take the risk of getting the same treatment as her? All Americans should leave Russia ASAP.

I don't think he was an enemy as a journalist but clearly unbiased reporting is not possible either in Russia or in Ukraine - both sides it's the same censorship. But this reminds of the story of Greiner which got exchanged for the most dangerous war lord in the world which is selling arms to the largest conflicts in Africa. One must question, how can a country let go such a dangerous person which basically should never ever be released from prison. Most likely he is selling now weapons from Ukraine.
