Used to see that WCW handheld at car boots everywhere in the late 90s, never owned it though. Nice collection James 🙂

Very nice wee collection an video buddy, certainly surpasses mine! The Professor Layton series looks interesting, I've heard of them but never played, reckon I'd enjoy them to be honest I've a soft spot for puzzles.🎮🌠🍀

Cheers fella. As said i'm not much of a handheld gamer but the layton games scratch the itch for puzzles but with a good mystery story to follow along with which makes it more appealing than doing the brain training games, or whatever 👍 curious village is still my fav in the series, and it was the first

Cheers Stu. The mario bros one in particular is very nice. Should have taken them out as they are all bagged up and complete. Will show more of them eventually when i do a room tour.
Yep love old school Sting on the WCW box.

Those Game&Watch's look in great condition James. I remember playing the DK Jr one around a friend's. I only have the Mario cement game, loose though.
Like you, I'm not a handheld gamer but I did purchase and do collect for the 3DS. Always handy to take away when travelling and on short stays somewhere.
    Hope you're keeping well fella!

Cheers Clay. The G&W's are two of my fav bits in the collection. Mario Cement i remember being good fun.
There are a small handful of 3DS games i'm after aside from the Layton series. Generally though if i'm playing a half decent game i want it to be played on a TV.
All good here pal, hope you are sweet as a nut as well mate 🙂

Jeez mate those Game & Watches look factory fresh. That's impressive considering you had Mario from new. You looked after it.
I had the Turtles handheld, I've still got it and think I showed it in the what's in the box video I did. I might have had two.
I enjoyed the Professor Layton games too, but never finished any.
I wasn't really a handheld gamer either. I played Pokemon on my game boy color, maybe a couple of original game boy games and then a few games on the DS and 3DS but no where near the same amount as normal consoles.
Great little collection though mate, quality and nostalgia over quantity.

      Thanks mate 😎
Unfortunately the Mario Bros isn't my original. Watching back the video prior to uploading I realised it wasn't all that clear what I was saying. Talk abouy waffling! Not sure what happened to the mario bros one I had as a kid, although younger bro still has the donkey kong jr one.
I also completely forgot to mention I had the duel screen Donkey Kong game and watch, and have no idea what happened to that.

Yeah, I remember one kid from school having a Game Gear and I don't really remember having a go on it, maybe one life on Sonic but that was it. I reckon it's about the batteries, there are so many of the f**kers that you get really precious about their use, you want to get your moneys worth! haha
I find myself using my handheld systems more that anything else nowadays, DS Lite and Game Boy Color mainly. I think it's about the accessibility, I can have a quick blast of Tetris or Chrono Trigger while I'm doing something else.
I've played through Prof. Layton and the Lost Future, I enjoyed it but the odd puzzle did my nut in, some of them you have to be pixel perfect with your choices. I think there was a puzzle about a painting of dogs playing cards that nearly had me smashing up my DS! haha

    • @TMWRPJAYMZ
      @TMWRPJAYMZ  2 роки тому

I know what you mean Owen. Very easy and accessible the handheld systems. Thing i find is that if it's a puzzle game then i'm happy to sit and play it handheld, but any action game or RPG and it has to be big screen. Ive been tempted to pick up ocarina and majoras mask over the years but i'm sure id get frustrated playing them on small screens.
I'll keep an eye out for the annoying puzzles on prof layton and the lost future, so far so good but i'm only a couple of hours in.
Still think curious village is the best in the series!

Those game and watches look great james buddy 😄 I had a good few different handheld type games.... I can vaguely remember a motorbike bike I had that I loved. I've never played professor layton 🤦

      Cheers Steve mate 😎
I'd recommend the Layton games mate only if you like a puzzle game. If not then steer clear.
Wonder what that motorbike handheld was 🧐

Well envious of the two G&W mate, they look mint, my mate had DK JNR, good game. I have a couple of the twin screen DK games and used to have the panorama DK which was class, regret selling that, a fortune now. Really like the old LCD games, wouldn't say no to a few more but all getting pricey. Great video James 👍

      Cheers James pal.
Is that the orange, duel screen Donkey Kong you are referring to? I also had that as a kid and completely forgot to mention it when I made the video. No idea what happened to it either which is a shame.
As you say, very pricey to get hold of these days.

Nice couple of game and watches james mate and the 3DS consoles look great. Professor Leyton games are excellent to pass time away and not trued the toad game. Great stuff buddy 😊👍

Nice to see some of your games collection here James 👍
I do regret selling my GBA SP and games a while back, but the DS systems are great too.
We still got our DS, lite and 3DS systems. My missus is playing "42 All time classics" on our OG Silver DS as I type this - she's addicted to Solitaire on it... lol 🤠 Take it easy. Daz ✌️

Good to hear you and the mrs still enjoy the DS/3DS. Why did you sell the SP?

@@TMWRPJAYMZ Sorry about the late response - I sold the SP and GBA games as it never got much play after getting the 3DS stuff, but that SP was great for playing on the plane or beach when on holidays ... ✌️

Loving those game and watch mate 😍. I’m with you; definitely prefer donkey Kong jnr.
that yoshi 3ds xl is mega. Would love one of them. The Layton games are brilliant. Incredibly addictive.

I nearly said, i bet Retro Ed is disgusted with this poor excuse of a DS/3DS collection 😂 There'll be a few editions eventually aside from the Layton games.
      Cheers 👍

@@TMWRPJAYMZ haha!!! Not at all. Quality over quantity, and I’ve a lot of dross in the 3ds set 😁. If you like the laytons then May’s Mysteries is good; think is just on DS 👍. Cheers mate.

😂 I still stand by my views on Game Gear owners. Nah but seriously I'm sure it wasn't the case for most. Just the people I knew 😂
Lovely to see those Game & Watches boxed. Not sure i could go back to them sort of games today but I'm sure they make nice collector pieces.
That Smash Brothers 3DS I think is one of the nicer 3DS variants. I just really like the design on it despite not being a Smash Bros fan.

    • @TMWRPJAYMZ

I like the theory Rob, very funny 😂
Yeah i know what you mean about playing the game and watches. I don't leave batteries in, so setting one up is a faff. Good to put them on once a year or so but other than that they are collector pieces as you say.
I'm the same mate, i'm not a fan of smash bros. Had a few goes at it over several systems and quickly get bored.

Jeez… it might be classed as a small collection but it’s a great collection!! Those game and watch boxes are in awesome condition too! I have the turtles handheld you’re talking about, i had one briefly as a kid and LOVED it so bought it again about 15 years ago on eBay for about £12 or something. That 3DS was an amazing gift too. I love the Layton games and own most if not all of them but not properly invested Time in them

Yeah I remember seeing the turtles handheld on one of your videos. I liked those a lot. Hoping to get my hands on them again at some point but i won't pay silly money.
The Layton games are cosy mate. Only if you like puzzle games though.
Hope you are well mate 👍🍺🎮
