everytime I'm on fishbay my team either does a weak push into their TDs and throw or my team camps and gets overwhelmed by a lemming train. Definitely never unbanning this map, especially since it wasn't long ago that it causes people to crash to desktop.
Really challenging spot to play. If enemy players were better or had better crew, he woluldn't have such an easy job. Just saying that those bushes can be tricky and trolish and the moment you peek you get spotted. Anyways, well done. GG

It wasn't like he was giving anybody easy shots. He made himself very inconvenient to hit so the enemy chose to shoot at more convenient targets. HP preservation is the name of the game and his was anything but luck. The guy has 3500/61% recents - that ain't luck.
I think he got lucky mm with idiot enemies. I just played FB about 5 times now and I always go mid but the enemy team and my team always just sits and doesn't push...
Because of this play right here (because someone tries it from the south every single game) I always play from the bush at the bottom of b8 and blind fire that corner continuously until the city gets set and engaged. Longer if anything stays there.

one of my favourite maps. Whenever possible I play position on top of the hill, it always allows to snap some shots on various occasions, but in the same time, with 3 artas or very aggresive enemy, it is easy to die there in first minutes. Important thing is to have some support. Many times when I have been on the hill with no support, whenever enemy found out that I'm alone he just rushed my position and that was it. It is not a difficult map, but You need to pay attention to what is going on and choose wisely where to go. Compared to the Great Wall - huge map, where most of the vehicles fight seppparated, this map actually allows to keep a full front against the enemy and redistrubute fire towards different locations. Having said that, I must admit that I've never played it that good as the guy in the rep ;-). Not even close...
Circonflexes really likes those bushes from the opening as well. The bushes on the other side there are a little broken so you often see through them and they don't see you. You can even double bush there against enemies in the mid, it's really broken. Good times.
I always play that bush from south spawn, and it a lot depends of your team. Sometimes I do good, sometimes not, but for sure it's very important place on the map.
I gotta say, I've tried this many times and it rarely fookin' works. Soon as there's even a whiff of suspicion I'm there the Sky cancer all triangulate blindfire and proceed to wear me like a cock-sleeve, still if you can make it work without being thwacked from above it's a decent place to be. Congrats to this guy, that was a killer game he had.
love that starting position also, I like to knock down that tree at the end of the hedgerow so you can poke on your 10' clock. Red spawn has a few trees that can be sneaky with.
That shot that missed that you couldn't explain Lemming, it hit that stair railing right in front of him, you can see the debris flying around when he leaves sniper mode.
That line of bushes at F6 - Go there when I'm artying from the North, and you WILL get clicked - My first shot is almost always a blind-fire just past that tree.
I really like the way he used the row of bushes right at the start, but I doubt it would work 9 times out of 10 especially with suicide scouts in wheeled French lights in the game.
I think I know how to use a bush, but mid bushes never work for me. Maybe the red team tanks had 50% crew in this replay or something. Maybe I just suck
The bushes from the northern spawn are useless compared to the south ones. I get spotted immediately on the north side whereas they are quite efficient on the other side. This is what we watched in this replay.
Fisherman bay indeed became worse after the rework, but it's not anywhere near the worst map. There still maps like Airfield or Mines in this game. Btw I also recently use that spot often in my meds and lights. I even able to counter a stronk 3 man unicum platoon there by pushing at a very precise time when our HT was pushing the town.

I play the mid like that, well try to, often muppets come try shoot over/behind you. He was lucky his team didn't swarm there as they normally do. Good game either way

This guys is just lucky to have a good match making, honestly. First of all, there is no EBR kind of things to keep him constantly lite. Secondly, the enemy's MT are so bad at spotting. If either one of the above factors changed will force him to backup. And if he backup from arty cover, he got to deal with the arty like us most of the time playing this map. And the third factor to let this magic happen is the enemy HT don't give a damn that MT lost the hill and still push. They were basically rushing to garage. In my opinion, this guy just being so likely to have a dumb enemy team.
It wasn't so much of a great play on fisherman's bay as it was taking a good early position that proved fruitful throughout the game based on what the red team did. And spam heat into the side of tanks.
Oh boy, another tier 10 medium replay where they mindlessly spam only gold ammo and spend the entire game farming enemies who ignore the player who sent the replay in. Sure its a good game and this guy played it really well but he still got ridiculously lucky for most of the game and didn't even swap ammo like he should have
Well if the enemy team was a lil bit coordinated which seems to always be the case in my experience since i play td a lot they would have just pinged the mid then someone would just rush to his position he get lit then all those tanks leaving city will start shooting him and insta dead at least that's what woulda happened if i was the one playing this game
You didn't know about this spot? Maybe the meta on the EU server is totally different than on the NA server, because this has been the standard position to be in for a decent medium or heavy player for a long time. And the other people in the comments, it's not luck he wasn't constantly being clicked by arty, it was his position. If you sit in just the right spot no one can directly shoot you and arty can only splash you. That's why the arty didn't bother, he rather shoots tanks he can hit flush.
Unbelievable game because actually it’s a textbook for ENEMY TEAM how not to play. Enemy team totally ignored him. In normal game he would be focused by artillery and annihilated by tanks in the middle. Nobody would push city knowing he is there. He would be first to kill for NORMAL enemy team, not a batch of simpletons.

Literally, Fisherman's bay is just about manipulating middle in your mediums, and even faster heavies. If there is no more damage at middle, you can usually pressure town to get some more shots, or stay near the middle like this player did to farm people pushing your base. At least for me, I'm fine with this map. Lol this is actually the map where I 3 marked my type 59. regardless, great game by 6
In my opinion, that position in mid is extremely vulnerable if the enemy has even just a couple TDs. In my experience you can easily get shot from the A8/9/0 area when you poke out from the left side of that building

The lesson is that if you mobility you should take the mid, he also showed good situational awareness and knowledge on how the bush mechanics work, that's wha I got from it.

He had a great game, but was totally unchallenged in the mid which is not usually the case. Show us how you play it when there are two guys mid on your side and 4 on the other.
And I don't really like the end game play. It was so risky. He was just having his finger crossed, hoping the enemy could show up one by one, and hoping his dumb teammates would kinda wakeup if he fucks it up. Coz what could possibly happen was the enemy feeling uncomfortable to push so they regroup and fall back. He could throw this game away if he see four tanks as once. Full health is not a lot in high tier. One mistake is able to end your game. The safest way to win to is stay in his camping bush to support his team to cap and def his base at the same time. by holding the the he can do both. And enemy team can't challenge the hill since they are slow tank and in low hp.
I hate this map. 1 lit on You makes you burn and eat shells whole day long. I rly strugle to play it from this side in mid, last time I went early to that exact spot someone came for early scout and I went out from DeathStar FV =D One mistake or unluck will punish Your very hard but its kinda map You can curry later on. yeah the problem is you cang et stuck in that position pretty quickly if your counterpart can spot you through the bushes.

This position is known for years, saw it years ago on a video of taugrim. Hard position too make it work, if your enemy aren't lemmings.
How to play fisherman’s bay:
1. Make sure you’re top tier
2. Make sure there’s not light tanks
3. Spam every gold round in your tank...

The problem with that initial play in the bushes is that you often get people like the E5 that get spotted behind you and then use you as cover

Strong opening position, nice farming and micro-positioning. His ammo selection gave me Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, though.

Personally I find Ruinedburg far worse. I also pass on mountain pass.
