A friend sent me one of Jerry's sermons. I had never heard of him, but once I heard his first sermon, I was hooked! He keeps it real, doesn't sugar coat anything, but isn't judgemental at all. I'm so thankful that God placed my friend in my life. And she trusted the Lord enough to send that first sermon to me.

5:07 listen closely, you will really how he manipulates the Scriptures. Right at this moment he starts to make the Scriptures talk about us and he does that in most of his videos. This is called eisegesis where people insert there own ideas in the Scriptures. I pray that you realize how many times he use Scriptures as a “foundation text” for his topic and then make it sound like whatever he wants. Go and look at his videos every he mentions Scriptures he quickly make it sounds like it’s talking about us. Just think a second, is this text talking about “being triggered”? When you said this Pastor I immediately thought 🤔💬 about this lady from my congregation. I would get so pi**ed off because she would talk low and slow. I could not understand why I would get so irritated when ever I would hear her or anyone for that matter who spoke in a low and slow tone. But now that I'm thinking about it my home was so dysfunctional that my norm was hearing people yell and scream all the time. Anyone who wasn't doing this was weird and all of a sudden I was triggered. Wow it's crazy how dysfunction has a way of clouding our judgment to the point where what is good and true ( Philippians 2:8) we see as bad 😔 wow. God bless this sermon and all that are listening. Oh how I needed to hear that message. I tend to get triggered easily. But this message open my mind to so much more that I needed to be aware of and locked in to the calling God has placed on my life.
Lord please heal me and help me to have a contrite heart and a forgiving spirit, to let go and let God. Thank You Jesus. Amen 🙏
