Your hair looks nice and full and you’ve come a long way. Oil is the culprit for the lint that’s embedded in our locs. My question is, why are folks putting all this oil in their hair. We used to use grease and that’s it. I don’t use oils or rose water cause it causes itching and dryness etc. Great video!👍

So true. Oil is a dirt and lint magnet. If you do use only apply lightly to your scalp. Since you wear color I would suggest steaming your locs to help with moisture.
The gel is so drying and not healthy for your edges. Blessings.

Loved This! My locs are turning 3 and are getting a bit longer and they just be straight every day lol. Im def incorporating the over night curl styles. So cute for a quick switch up.

I’ve been subscribed for a while. Thank you for still updating on your loc journey. I believe mine would look similar to yours when I start mine.

Thank you for hanging in there with me on my journey! What’s your hesitation to start your locs?

@@jesslocd I had locs for 8 months but combed them out because I kept putting extension braids over top of them. That permanently dented the locs. Now, I need to start them again without putting any extensions or tight styles In for the first year and I’ll look ugly plain and simple Lol, my hair lacks density, it’s sandy brown and very kinky so it shrinks crazzyyy. All excuses because I literally know it’s the best choice for my hair. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Just a peace of advise for any one who's interested and for the creator of this video...
Braiding your hair to go to bed and carrying your hair in a ponytail for most of the time ads to thinning. For anyone who is looking to get thicker and healthier locs make sure not to do this too often and try stay away from bleaching your hair as well.

It's only thinning when you braid your hair hella tight. I don't braid mine it tight at all. Its actually very loose at the scalp. Also the word is spelled "advice", for next time you try to give us some. Thanks for the concern tho. 😉

Whoa. I will take the advice that you advised people with locs to do. I actually appreciate it.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Hi love 👋 I have felt this way before! I What I started doing was letting my roots grow out more and I started to go longer without re-twisting.
A lot of people like to keep their hair freshly
twisted so their scalp and parts show, but our hair is thinner so we don’t need any help showing our parts!😂
So I let my roots grow out a bit until I have “kind of an Afro at the roots”.
Now don’t let the hair grow out TOO wild and crazy! We still want to look presentable🤪 But go for a while without re-twisting and let the roots get a little nappy. I hope that makes sense lol
Let me know if it doesn’t make sense. I may have to do a video explaining. 😉
