    Missed opportunity to learn some unique things about Fela, when you interview someone like Baba Ani, you should get deeper than that with your questions.

    Baba Ani at 80+ is very astute. The New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary (1993 £90)...Prophet, 4 An innovative proclaimer or advocate of a cause, principle, etc. The colonisers language is shrouded by subtle corruptions. Do as I say not as I do...big respect! to Fela and his band

    What kind of question was the interviewer was asking about Femi? Femi already had his own band when Fela was alive. So he was already his own man with his own band.

      Don't mind Mani with his silly questions. Seun automatically was Fela successor in the Egypt 80 Band, hence the reason why they worked together was obvious.

    You were NOT sincere in your attitude towards Fela being thought of as a "prophet." Your objection was that the things Fela spoke against are still happening today. But, so what? Is a prophet meant to FORCE change? The answer is an obvious No. A prophet simply speaks to the conscience of the people, among other things. Whether they adjust their lives to what he says, or not, is left to them.

    • @Xtjiggzs

      Calm down! Referring to Fela as a prophet is only a figure of speech.

  • @donjazzy5510
    @donjazzy5510 4 роки тому +3

    I have no idea why Fela is deemed a prophet...he foretold nothing. All he did was talk about what was already happenng around him which we all could see. He didn't predict anything futuristic that came to pass..........
