That was my brother and I on our farm back in the '70s & '80s. We mowed with a 185 & One-Eighty and two New Holland haybines.
Then we tedded / raked the hay with the our D-19 and baled with the One-Ninety. Oh, the memories of farm life as young boys. Thanks for sharing. Sent this video to my brother.
My deceased uncle from rural Pomeroy, IA considered Allis - Chalmers as not so good. May have been just partial to John Deere. I think A/C is just fine. The Big Orange did a fine job on American farms. Keep your Orange Beauty alive and well. Drive it in a town parade! The city mayor said it is all right!
Always enjoy some good old vintage Orange getting er done.... Thanks..
Sure like your videos. Takes me back to out 185 and 170, wd45. Never made big bales like that though, stacked by hand on wagon. Be patient with your hired hand running the skid steer, with more practice he will be better. Just like playing the trombone, practice practice.
Thanks for the kind words!
Good video
Jeff always a pleasure seeing Nolan and his family !
That;s just a bit faster than the model 68 New Holland I stood behind all those years ago
Allis chalmers could have gone along way if they wouldn't have gone bankrupt 😢
Hi guys! Thank you for the interesting videos on this channel! I would like to use a few short parts of your videos in my film about the history of agricultural machinery. Can I do it? Now I am interested in AS Roto Baller. A link to your channel will be in the description of the video. Thank you! And good luck
Sure, go right ahead
@@JandLVideos Thanks a lot! I will do so!
Ok let’s see what emotions I experienced watching this video. First of all envy. Nohlen on the 185. Then I was gratified. To see the WD out working with Nohlen behind the wheel, just like had hoped. Then it was sentimental. Watching Ron and his son working side by side. Then it was thankful. So glad there are people like J and L for bringing us these videos. And finally it was laughter. I actually had to listen twice to that joke and think about it for 30 seconds. The D 19 struggled a little pulling that load until I realized that it was the poor design of the running gear by that red company. 😉
As always fantastic video. Stay well all of you.
I totally forgot two things. The thumbnail was a great picture. Also, Nohlen’s green tractor was pretty funny. I hope that isn’t foreshadowing.
The WD definitely earns its keep at their farm!
@@JandLVideoshay or hey I was wrong I think. That was a d17 pulling that wagon correct? You gotta call me out on this stuff J and L.
She’s a rock picker
I helped put up hay a couple times as a kid and I hated it we had small square bales probably 70-100 pounds depending on how tight or moist it was and it was hotttt 😂outside the last time I helped they had a guy come and round bale everything I was so happy being able to use a loader to handle the hay was a game changer 😂 thanks for sharing god bless
I remember those day when w baled straw for my grandfather’s brother who had a dairy farm. Baling straw in July was miserable with the heat and humidity plus the bales were more than half of my full weight.
The wagon with the steel bed has a front tire that is crooked.
Yeah, he figured that out after he got it loaded.
Haha, chicken coupe. Looks like some Canadian smoke in the air.
Yep, we've been getting quite a bit of their smoke lately.
