The only slight super nitpicky "complaint" I have with the anime vs the manwha is the anime doesn't convey the true difference between a ranker and a regular and a high ranker and a ranker. A ranker to even the strongest regular is the difference between a small crack in the ground and the grand canyon. The difference between a ranker and a high ranker (think top 50) is the difference between the grand canyon and the planet being split in two. A high ranker basically needs permission from the guardians of the floor they are on to just exist let alone show a fragment of their power. A flick of the finger from Yuri Zahard was enough to make a regular ranker dodge and realize if that even grazed them they would have died 6 different ways. If you are a regular and a high ranker shows up you may as well try to prevent the moon from crashing into Earth.
but lately around the 40s floors they seem to have been nerfed alot, like even regulars who havent hit the top to become rankers are messing about with Family Heads...
Rachel is one of the best characters in the anime. Designed to be hated due to her insane deception and manipulation for her goals. I will never name a child of mine Rachel lol.
I fucking love Tower Of God, the anime is decent, but the Manhwa is a straight 10/10, in my personal top 5 over best stories ever. And of course we all hate Rachel, but that just shows how good of a writer SIU is. Writing likable characters can be challenging, but writing a character to be so hated as Rachel, takes quite a tremendous amount of skill.
I like that Rachel is exactly what we all would be in that world. We would not be the hero or chosen, we would be powerless. And we would hate it. And we would behave exactly like her. We hate ourselves. SIU is indeed an amazing writer!
@@clab232 please do yourself a favor and read it. It happened the same to me so I decided to start over. That's the best choice I've ever made. Tower of God is a masterpiece and season 3 is fire. Try to read it again, there'll be a point when you start to understand everything

I also stopped reading for a while (but continued at a later point ) because at some point the fights scale to a point, they look like someone dropped a bucked of color :D Also, if youre hating rachel now, just wait as it continues :D

It has been addressed but not properly, Rachel had dreamed of climbing the tower, and bam followed her dream but for her surprise bam was chosen to climb the tower and considered worthy but not herself although it was her dream, that is why she is jealous of bam, and with her strength alone she can't climb, she needs someone else's power that is why she is so deceiving

Her jealousy caused bam to come to hate her however the webtoon isn't finished so we don't know how the ending will play out unless theirs's a light novel.
Seriously tho Rachel is just a victim of circumstances. If Bam stopped insisting on following her like an obsessed freak she wouldn't even be that bad of a person towards Bam.
