My Asian market sometimes sells them but they are way in the back and you have to ask for them, plus they are quite expensive. Even the texture seems scary to me, but obviously many people love them, so it must have some special qualities, right?

Not gonna lie, when you first started removing the fruit from the first durian, it looked like oily, pan fried chicken breast. This might taste delicious but I would have to put a blindfold on the first time I tasted it to trick myself into not gagging! Great video!

When we went to Penang our friend/guide took us to a street vendor selling Durian, about 3 times the size of yours, and they were amazed as we were the first westerners they’d met who actually LIKED Durian. We then went to a coffee house and when the sales lady wouldn’t let us try Durian coffee, as it wasn’t yo western tastes, our friend said no ! They like Durian, so our fame spread !! Lol

We Amer. do not generally like it !! Probably because we are not used to it and the odor. Many stores sold it all over the Ch. country and people lined up at 4 in the afternoon to purchase. Durian is a seasonal fruit plus it's usually only grows around Southeast Asia hence the high prices, there are cheaper ones but usually from local sources. The fruit is difficult to be exported despite foreign demands due to the smell and many public transports banned it.

no, they werent, theyre simply engineered to loosen their hold as theyre going up
Yeah those ones with the slidey things are ment to be pushed not lifted up you win faster by pushing then grabing
it's not meant to grab, you have to knock/roll the item toward the other end and make it fall through the gap in the sticks.

To be honest the durians she won are bad quality (the first one is not that bad). Their flesh look horrible and are a tad too dark.
