I have the same birdbath I found on the property at the house we just moved into. But on mine the bottom of the base is missing a side like yours is but a bigger chunk is gone and it’s unable to stay upright. I would love to fix and use it, can I use the same type of product to repair the bottom ? Or quick Crete? The piece that broke off is missing so I’m working with a blank space. I’ll definitely do this for the cracks running through the top and sides of base though thank you for the informative video🙂
Quick Crete should work fine Amy but no product will adhere well enough without some type of reinforcement. In the video I used heavy guage wire and because of the nature of the repair I did not need any adhesive to keep it in place. It sounds like you may need to epoxy reinforcement into holes drilled into the intact portion of the base.
big fan of Wandering JerrY!
Thanks Arcane Bear, really just having fun here!
Thank you for showing how to do this. My base at the bottom is broke like the top of your base I was wondering if it would work now I know
Thanks for watching Robin, I hope your repair works as well as mine. It's always si gratifying to me when I can help someone!

Would a pool noodle have worked?
