They played great matches! The crosscourt forehand at 11:07 and then the winner behind Dementieva is the exact same play Serena used at the Wimbledon SF in the same scoring scenario to get the break and serve for the match!

@@rahil5989 Dementieva often makes mistakes at crucial points and it's nothing to do with her serve. On the other hand, Serena played very smart in this match IMO.

Also, the fact you put Sharapova and lowered confidence in the same sentence kinda says you don't really know what you are saying. There are not many more people more confident than Sharapova; I'm not even going to explain.

That first set, only 46 first serve percentage, yet she hit 6 aces, and for the whole match 10 aces and only 53 first serve percentage.
Highly competitive match despite the scoreline, but Serena always had something extra in the Slams.
