As a Knicks fan, to sum up the offseason, you have to ask yourself two questions: Mikal Bridges vs. Donte Divencenzo, and Isiah Hartenstein vs. Karl Anthony Towns? Julius Randle was gone half the year and this team still was a win away from the ECF. So as long as you can agree they upgraded at the SG and C position, this team got way better, with the biggest sacrifice being the bench.

Once Mitchell Robinson gets healthy, we have two 7footers in the starting lineup with Josh Hart leading our bench.

I think this is a bad trade for the wolves as far Randall goes. I am not sure this makes this Knicks that much better. better yes but over the top no. The wolves are worse. What's even worse was not telling that man you're trading him. He was showing up for training camp. Now, out of nowhere him and his family, who most likely already have established roots in their community, kids have to now leave their friends. If KAT can stay healthy I think Brunson and coach Thibodeau will get him playing well for the Knicks. Its a great opportunity for KAT, its go time for him, its now or never. DiVincenzo was great for the Knicks but still Brunson had to do too much all the time especially in late game situations after exerting himself the whole game, KAT should be good for Brunson. Randle was hurt a lot and at this point he is strong but he can't jump over a newspaper.

I think the trade is a win for both teams, based on need and potential. Kat & Rudy play too soft at times, and Minnesota needs more dogs around Ant, Randle and DiVincenzo will be great additions and provide more depth Depending on how you feel about Mikal Bridges and OG, Kat, at times, only needs to be the 3rd best player on the team. Taking some pressure and expectations off him could help him tremendously

All you did was upgrade your starting 5 with no additions to your bench depth. The Knicks and 76ers have no chance against Boston this year either. Bostons team from top to bottom is perfectly constructed. Every player compliments another perfectly! Best 2 way backcourt players in holiday and white, great tall and lengthy scoring wings and once Kristaps comes back in late November early December the league is screwed!
Stop asking why they traded KAT instead of Gobert....Gobert has no value outside of Minnesota. He got benched in the Olympics for the same reason he used to get benched in Utah which is the same reason he doesn't fit with the Knicks -- you cannot space the floor offensively if he's on it. And when other teams go small he cannot protect the paint and recover to the 3 point line and he can't move his feet in switches. The Mavs played PJ Washington at 5 to give Luka and Kyrie the space to drive and either score or kick to a shooter or put Gobert into the ball screen and put him on skates.
Why would Bobby Marks suggest that a guy in Donte who made almost 300 3 pointers last year be the sixth man? Rob Dillingham has proven nothing and he Marks think he is a starter? Please get the real basketball expert like Lowe back on the network. SMH

Randle is also a 21 and 10 guy, but Kat is bigger and taller yet softer and plays less inside. A area of need for us.
Thibs signed off on this deal. He feels confident to rub a defensive scheme with 2 average defenders in Brunson / KAT.
Puts a lot of pressure on OG or Bridges to cover a bigger player.

I think this trade is better for Minnesota. The Knicks will be good but I don’t see them getting out the 2nd round not with Boston, Philly, Miami still around and Milwaukee having time to develop more chemistry. Don’t sleep on Cleveland or Orlando either
C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me). Timberwolves wanted to get out of KAT's contract, plain and simple. The older you get the more you'll realize everything revolves around money. Timberwolves is a small market team, they don't have a whole lot of money so they have to be cheap (and that's why they'll never win a championship). The last cheap owner to win was Dan Gilbert of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he would rather NOT win because it means digging deep into his pockets. He was SO happy to break up that championship team! 😆
Knicks fans mad at this trade are cre crazy. They turned Randle…, who they seem to like more when he’s hurt, and spot up shooter for a hall of famer.
I think this is a bad trade for the wolves as far Randall goes. I am not sure this makes this Knicks that much better. better yes but over the top no. The wolves are worse. Randall is a ball stoper and not efficient. That alone will help the Knicks. Irregardless of Randall play you gave up defense and close to 35 to forty points for between two of them for towns 20pts and not great defender

What's even worse was not telling that man you're trading him. He was showing up for training camp. Now, out of nowhere him and his family, who most likely already have established roots in their community, kids have to now leave their friends. At the very least, they could have given him a heads up. And the Knicks as well. But the wolves organization really gave him away and kept Rudy is the ultimate disrespect.
If KAT can stay healthy I think Brunson and coach Thibodeau will get him playing well for the Knicks. Its a great opportunity for KAT, its go time for him, its now or never. DiVincenzo was great for the Knicks but still Brunson had to do too much all the time especially in late game situations after exerting himself the whole game, KAT should be good for Brunson. Randle was hurt a lot and at this point he is strong but he can't jump over a newspaper.
This is a great for Minnesota Randal and Donte will add spacing and scoring Kat is lazy for a big man. And a cry baby. Knicks just messed up again back to loosing. Probably a 6 or 7 seed next year

Kat & Rudy play too soft at times, and Minnesota needs more dogs around Ant, Randle and DiVincenzo will be great additions and provide more depth
Depending on how you feel about Mikal Bridges and OG, Kat, at times, only needs to be the 3rd best player on the team. Taking some pressure and expectations off him could help him tremendously
Julius Randle paired up with Ant Man is must watch TV 📺 🏀in my opinion.They both kinda play alike so it make sense, plus they keep their defense sealed with Rudy still on the roster.
