They were part of an era is such crazy progression in the game that the whole community benefitted from and raised the skill ceiling on all levels as a whole. I feel like everyone's game improved during this era from open all the way up to invite and the best teams in the world. Truly an amazing era in esports just happy I was there to experience it. Those were some of the best years of my life. There's nothing like playing cs on lan when you're in the 'zone'.
