Sofie yang nama lengkapnya Sofie Verbruggen adalah penyanyi jazz dan pop asal Belgia. Lahir di Antwerpen, ia memulai karirnya pada usia 14 tahun. Awalnya dia bernyanyi bersama group-nya Sofia. Ia memulai karirnya sebagai penyanyi solo pada tahun 1981 dengan mewakili Belgia di Kontes Lagu Eurovision.
Tahun 1993 dengan group So-four ia membuat album "So Far, So Good" yang membuktikan kemampuanya membawakan genre musik pop, jazz, funk dan soul. Tahun 1995 ia berkolaborasi dengan legenda soul Bobby Womack dalam lagu 'I Wanna Know What Love Is' yang ada dalam album 'Love Loops'.

Sofie is an honest artist with boundless creativity and the 'just right' voice colour for every mood. With her extensive vocal range, she manages to perform each song in a sensitive and personal way, giving her concerts exceptional class and atmosphere.
Born in Antwerp as the granddaughter of opera singer Mina Bollotine, she was immersed in a bath of music and culture from her childhood. At the age of fourteen she was on stage with her group "Sofia".
In 1974, her career gained momentum after she won the 'Discover the Star' TV contest. Together they formed the group 'TRINITY' with the then hugely popular Belgian pop band 'The Pebbles'. They won a contract with Phonogram and eventually released 8 hit singles and 2 albums in the Benelux.

Lagu indah penuh kenangan dg lirik yg begitu menyentuh perasaan dlm rangkaian kata yg mencerminkan kekuatan rasa dan keteguhan cinta yg sangat tulus dlm kejujuran dimiliki seorang wanita pd seseorang yg begitu didambakan dg prinsip yg sangat kuat dan kokoh utk mempertahankan juga memperjuangkan shg seolah tak mungkin tergoyahkan ataupun tergantikan.
Lagu yg dinyanyikan Sofie ini sangat populer dan begitu hits di era 80-an dan mendominasi blantika musik pop dunia pd masa itu sbg lagu favorit.
Lagu itu sekarang bagi saya layak, pantas dan cocok utk dinikmati sbg nostalgia masa lalu via lagu kenangan " I Love You ".
