I'm wondering how many of You that say it's a shitty car, have had this car before on their own?! I had a chance to own (for resale) exactly the same Vel Satis 3.5V6 in about 6-7 months, and all the faults that came up in this video is caused by three things (except flat tyre fault): 1. almost flat car battery (handbrake fault, gearbox fault), 2. long time standing (injection fault - probably water condensation in fuel tank or other kind of shit in fuel system after long term standing, gearbox - it needs to be re-adjusted after long term standing - system follows you through), 3. leak of knowledge of the guy in video - he starts car with almost flat battery with seats heat and day-time running lights on!!! It's really easy to get this car in shape again: 1. Change (or reload) car battery - it's basic! 2. Fuel up tank with fresh and clean fuel, with (maybe) some cleaning additiv for gasoline engines 3. Start it, let it run self for 10-15 minutes and then adjust the gearbox (car will follow you through), fill pressure in tires and it's ready to go. And for Gods sake clean up in this car !! :)
Hey Justin, no it's not normal! Most faults were caused by a bad battery supplying the systems with inadequate voltages triggering the warnings. They're greet cars, I love them :) although this one has since become a parts donor for my other two!
Hello guys, I have this same car Vel satis, its great but the warning language is in German, Can anybody help to explain how i can change it to English?
That's normal, it's a Vel Satis! Luckly it's not a 3.0 DCI. The 3.5 V6 petrol is reliable, but lot of eclectrical problems. With a 3.0 DCI, you got rubbich engine + rubibich electrical system :)

Hey Leigh - is this amount of verbal faults normal, it's awful!! I just saw a really nice DV6 Initiale which I was going to buy for my Ma as I hate her A Class, but this would drive her mad ;-) Thanks - Justin

Anyone buying this may have thought, " oh it's got the Nissan engine, should be reliable, right?" Wrong! Renault cheapened everything they touch and lowered reliability in the process. That's why any car brand that has any relationship with Renault should be avoided.
that car is totally fucked that thing can not almost 30 thousand kilometers on the clock because the car is from 2005 or older because younger can not.
Stop laughing and just change your battery my friend. Maintaining your car could be a good idea also. I can even imagine the damp smell in your car.. 😣
Nissan's bulletproof vq engine went downhill after Renault bought Nissan. Since Renault, Nisshave become far less reliable. RENUALT SUCKS!! I HATE RENAULT!!
When the battery goes wrong, calculators runs with low voltage and that brings faults.

This car doesn't even have daytime running lights.
No Renault without a few little faults - but thats why they are some kind of lovely :D

Awesome, it looks like with citroen c6
the computer voice should rather say what is NOT faulty on the car - it would be faster
