I love when your videos pop up, i look through my own budget and check in while listening to you! A lot of spending this past week, but mostly all necessary. I keep reminding myself I’m so much better off financially than last year at this time, and that zero based budgeting really works for me.
I agree with you. Last year this time…BAYBEE! I was climbing out of past due bills so for sure thanking God for being in a better place. This year will end strong! 💪🏾

Hello, thanks for the video. I have been off my budget since my dad got sick. I got so stressed about his health, I lost track of everything. This month I restarted again, but I am not following through to the end of the process. I have a question If you use your credit card to pay for ex. Gas you take out that amount right?, then put it in the folder for your visa payment?

Focusing on 1 sinking fund at a time really changed the game for me. I have filled 3 sinking funds that were coming up soon, if I kept dividing the money here and there I would not have finished. I know you will get back in the groove soon. Don't stop budgeting over the summer, give yourself more fun money and budget for summer activities. You don't want to get to September and have another credit card balance to pay off.

I need some advice. I want to continue budgeting, but the cash stuffing and cash envelopes are beyond draining, taking money out, and having to put it back im over it. I have a budget binder that only has an emergency fund envelope. I put 100 in every two weeks. What should I do?
I personally find it draining too, that’s why I don’t do it. Try just keeping it simple and streamlining your budget, one or two accounts, if you don’t have much as far as debts. Even if you do, just keep a reserve in your checking and uno everything else into one or two savings accounts. All the stuffing/unstuffing is just there to keep it fun anyway
Hey! You may not want to do it but Ally bank allows you to have an online checking account and you have the ability to setup “spending buckets” basically an electronic version of budget envelopes and sinking funds. ❤
I thought the stuffing and unstuffing, going back and forth to the bank was draining too. If I have $100 grocery budget, I’m disciplined enough to spend only $100 with my debt card. I don’t need cash to stop myself. I do however go to the bank maybe twice a month to get certain bills for my sinking (savings) funds to stuff but I’m NOT spending this money at all. I stuff it and it’ll stay until the end of the year.
@@ShamyraC Yeah, I think the stuffing/unstuffing and going back and forth to the bank is only worth it to get you used to the saving by ritualizing the process and making it into a game. If you’re otherwise disciplined, it can be a real chore in my opinion.

I agree it's hard in the summer. We all want to be out and about and it seems to just lead to spending money on one thing or another. Just do your best to keep your eyes on the goal my friend. I know it is not easy. ❤
Be encouraged Bestie! You got this! My Granny would often say "It's always the darkest before the dawn." Whenever I'm going through a rough time, I repeat those words to myself.
