She was really apathetic about him and his career -- couldn't have cared less, I think (I never heard her ever say anything good about him until he died). And I don't know what he thought of hers. But I do think he felt threatened anytime she was around. Didn't like that there was someone of his magnitude that could draw the spotlight away from him (since, in addition to his many flaws -- which I don't need to go into -- he was a major narcissist).
