  • Harrison Ford is back as the iconic Indiana Jones, but this time around fans will see the adventurous archeologist in a new light. "I was always anxious to find another film about Indiana Jones because I wanted to see him at the end of his life in a place where the residual effect of the life, he's lived, of those four movies catches up to him," Harrison told Access Hollywood's Zuri Hall. Although fans will get to see Indiana in his later years, the film also shows a glimpse of Indiana when he was younger. While talking to Access, Harrison revealed how they were able to make him younger. "It is literally my face from 40 years ago because Lucas Films has every fame of film they have ever exposed on me…but I have to perform the scene," he said. Harrison also talked about what it meant to get a standing ovation at the film's premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" swings into theaters June 30.

Harrison Ford the legend, one of my all time favorite actors, his interviews are a treat, he’s got that movie star vibe, always entertaining 😃 Loved his work in Star Wars as Han Solo, Indiana Jones and of course Rick Deckard in Blade Runner, he was really good in Call of the Wild too, an absolute Hollywood legend and icon, still making amazing movies 👏👏👏 🌟 Watched Indiana Jones and The Dial of the Destiny today and it was an amazing adventure, the perfect final ride for Indy 🤠
Thank you for making my childhood special Harrison Ford ❤

This is the real movie game changer, looking young again. I have wondered for years when they can create the technology to finish movies because the star died such as:
Game of Death, 1972 Bruce Lee and there are many other films that were never completed or just patched together or needs to be refreshed. 😎 Anyway, great movie Harrison.

He's been programmed to say these things because he's really old, and he's just in it for the money. Now he has stunt doubles on the horse.
Obviously because he's old and he can't get on a horse anymore. Duh. Other than that I hope it's a good movie.

Nah, he was in it for the money when the movie called Star Wars, because he dont like Han Solo. The only reason he did Star Wars 7 was, besides the money, he wanted to do another Indiana Jones because he really like the character and that was in his requirement to do SW7. And he can ride horses, he done in not long ago in the series 1923, the reason he didnt done it in some specific scene in the new Indiana Jones movie was he was injured the time they was shooting the scene.

He was on the horse for some scenes.
However this movie used more body doubles than they probably intended to because Harrison injured his shoulder and they wanted to continue production.
Personally, I was pretty impressed with how much a 78 or 79 year old Harrison did.

How much did Harrison get paid for it ? Supposedly 20 million dollars! Having an 80 year old body act with a 40 year old face doesn’t make sense although Ford is bizarrely convinced. Some people are saying it looks off

I heard Anthony Ingruber did the body movements of young Indy.
I know for sure Harrison did the very last scene of young Indy when he's under the bridge walking off with Bazil.

Let Harrison retire already 😂 He’s given us so many iconic characters and movies. Just hope he is still wanting to do these movies and doesn’t feel obligated.

Harrison is happy to still get work. It's actually not that easy for even an established actor to continue getting work for all these years. Many careers have fizzled out, and if you don't get work you fall behind pretty fast.

They should have deaged him through the whole film. I find the acting of Pheabe Waller-Bridge unwatchable, so I may only see this once on streaming. Not sure yet if i will see it in the theater. I realize people get old, but Indy is a fantasy serial series and not sure an old Indy is what people want to see. I dont want to see old depressed crotchety Indy and some younger millennial boss him around. Thats not a good look.

I feel sorry for Harrison, coming to the end of this life, when all of these young people have been brainwashed into caring about their race and gender(s), when he came form a time of just making a good movie for "all" audiences

It’s really sad, that the franchise seems to be going out on a “meh” note :-( The reception overall, thus far, has sadly been just that - “meh”
I’ll be seeing this, solely because of my love for Harrison Ford and Indy, but at this point I won’t need to see it to say; I expected more from the man who gave us LOGAN and Ford v Ferrari.

@@nonni3955 As I wrote, I will see the film no matter what. But with all of the critics and fans, who’s opinions i tend to trust, combined with every other critic who’s reviewed it, then I’ve read/heard enough to know that this won’t be any master-piece by any means. As I said, I expected more from James Mangold. Didn’t needed a “master-piece” though, but at least a film that was better than just “passable”.

@@ArnoArtner we don't name calling when someone has a take on the film good or bad. The reviews are in, and people don't like it. It is what it is. Who knows what kind of handcuffs were put on Mangold when it comes to the Story. If Harrison was willing to accept Han Solos really bad death in the Force Awakens, I have little hope for this film. Star Wars is dead, now Indy is soon joining thanks to Disney.
