I loved this video, I've always thought that driving at night is amazingly relaxing and beautiful. I really hope to visit New Zealand someday, it seems like such and amazing place, and Auckland sounds amazing. Thank you for this video, I've had a really bad day and this just helped me unwind and relax and I got to learn while doing so :)
You know you don't have to excuse yourself in a community where anything goes. I would adore sharing a car journey with you. Imagine the things we could discover! A journey of discovery, let's go!
There were concerns that the people in the South Island would form a separate colony, so they moved the capital to a more central location to meet everyone's needs. Plus it had good access to the harbour.
Wow, that is considerable growth! We always seem to be talking about the growth of Auckland and how we will manage when there's too many people. Plenty of room in other parts of the country yet :P
Oh my. I was not expecting to see a video about Auckland pop up in my youtube subscriptions - the city that I'm also in! I'm actually feeling a wee bit sentimental and honoured by the fact that we may have passed each other unknowingly.
So weird to have an asmr video of you driving through Auckland, it really feels like home when I've also driven on the same roads for most of my life :D.
Sorry, pressed done a little prematurely there. Lol. Anyways, great vid! Not sure if you've answered this before but what kind of mic are you using? Audio quality is great. Thank you.
Exactly the kind of video i like. Have u noticed how a lot of people with whisper in their name posting less and less videos with any actual whispering?
Yet another stunning video kiwi... You never do fail to impress. Anyway it was nice to get to learn a bit more about Auckland, though i can't say I'll remember almost any of them come tomorrow... I have to say something that's going to sound a little silly though xD Out of all of the fruits, all of the cute flightless birdies, and all of the other people from NZ, you're still my favorite kiwi :P yes that sounds too mushy... anyway, nice work, as always.
Besides driving on the opposite side of the road...everything seems similar to here in the states. Even the signs for the freeway look similar to the ones here in the US. The backdrop with the tower seems very futuristic to me!
Yes. I'm a Japanese car fan, and being part of that hypothetical fan club brings about the necessity to drive standard over automatic. I'm soon to be purchasing a 2002 Honda Prelude. Manual transmission of course. :)
I love hearing about these kinds of facts, had to listen twice because I got into a sleepy stance and wasn't paying attention. I don’t know if you realize this or not but there was a ghost that disappeared in front of your car, thought you should know.
I drive automatic. I, along with all my friends, learnt to drive manual (standard) though, but I would say that 90% would learn automatic these days. Most older cars (over about 20 years old) would still be manual transmission. If I were buying a brand new car I would opt for manual.
For a moment, I almost felt you sitting behind me, saying these things into my ear. I do't mean that to come across as creepy- it was actually magical.
Ah yes, that would be the window washer ghost - appearing for only the flashest of flashes so you can't make him out, but just enough to make you curious that it was in-fact a ghost.
Beautiful ride! Thank you... Also, I must point out how strange it looks, for this American, to be driving in this side of the highway! lol ;) Ty again!
Do you drive a standard or automatic? Because here in the states, finding a standard is rare while I know it's nearly the complete opposite in Europe. So I was wondering, what's the ratio of standards to automatics? And I must say, your videos are great. You are the only person to put me to sleep. I love your videos.

This really soothed me after a long day at work. Thank you.
I really love these driving videos, they are so super relaxing :)

I'm amazed by how many kiwis watch! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love night driving too! I will always choose to drive at night if I have the choice. I'm really glad this video helped :) Thanks for watching.
I love these driving videos, and this was interesting because all my family that live in New Zealand are located in Auckland.
Off to sleep now, feeling all warm and cosy thanks to this :-)
Wow so much lights and so much tunnels. I love this! It's indeed as if you're sitting in the back of the car talking to me :D
I love night driving. ❤ Plus... that voice. Tingly wingly. Wooo
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
That movable riad barrier is really cool! Thanl you for the wonderful informative video Sam! :)
There were concerns that the people in the South Island would form a separate colony, so they moved the capital to a more central location to meet everyone's needs. Plus it had good access to the harbour.
Haha, loved what what you said about the barrier moving thingy - it IS awesome! :P
Thanks Noel, glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!

Hey Kiwi I reaaally like this video soo calming. Thanks for posting it! :)
Thanks! As always, really glad you enjoyed the video. Glad to be the favourite too :)
Bucklands Beach is an Eastern suburb in Auckland.
Thanks so much!
This was a great idea! I love night time driving too :3
I live in Pukekohe so it was really cool to relax to such a familiar drive down from Auckland City, thank you :)
That car. Amazing
The motorway length is a distance of 120km long from north to south and Auckland the largest land area in the southern hemisphere.
Great coincidence! I like your camera view you use. :)
So weird to have an asmr video of you driving through Auckland, it really feels like home when I've also driven on the same roads for most of my life :D.
Heh, I come from the sticks like you so my first experience with city driving was pretty nerve wrecking. Used to it now :)
Sorry, pressed done a little prematurely there. Lol. Anyways, great vid! Not sure if you've answered this before but what kind of mic are you using? Audio quality is great. Thank you.
It would love to have you visit!
I have to ask, how come Wellington was made the capital as opposed to the larger Auckland?
Really really really fantastic. Outdone yourself
So relaxing and interesting !!
Good spotting. :) A ticket for slightly exceeding the speed limit will generally set you back around $80 - $120 NZD. I would know!
Exactly the kind of video i like. Have u noticed how a lot of people with whisper in their name posting less and less videos with any actual whispering?
Yay, Auckland!
Thanks for watching!
Yet another stunning video kiwi...

Do more of these kiwi please I really like these videos thanks
A lovely Kiwi voice= heaven ;)
Haha, thanks! They're easy videos to make by just chucking the camera on the dash.
Thanks Micah!
I love sleeping while someone else drives. It becomes a bit dangerous trying to do it the other way around though. :P
Besides driving on the opposite side of the road...everything seems similar to here in the states. Even the signs for the freeway look similar to the ones here in the US. The backdrop with the tower seems very futuristic to me!
Is Auckland right next to Buckland? My cousin Merriadoc Brandybuck is from there.
Thank you sweet pea :)

I managed to fall asleep watching your video despite having just watched 'Paranormal Activity' on TV.
Me too!

You should do another night drive video like this! That would be awesome! (:

It's funny, because every time I go over the bridge I'm SURE it has a different layout each time. I didn't know that until I read that fact... lol.
Makes me wanna sleep imagining I am besides you in
I live in Auckland so this was really awesome. (:
great video! I noticed a policeman pulled someone over. How much does a traffic citation cost in that area? :)
It is a nice city. Maybe we could trade places for a while? I would love to visit Greece!
Woohoo yay Auckland!
Beautiful ride! Thank you...
Also, I must point out how strange it looks, for this American, to be driving in this side of the highway! lol ;) Ty again!
I LOVE DRIVING AT NIGHT.
I think whispering is a fading art, unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed this though.
It's likely. I always run into someone I know no matter where I go in NZ :)
