Been trading for a year now and actually been getting payouts but this is the best video on UA-cam that explains SMT CORRECTLY. Well done sir. You definitely earned my sub. All other UA-camrs been just regurgitating the definition of SMT and calling themselves teachers.
A good mentor is someone who wishes to pour their heart out in other to educate their students, that's exactly who Mulham is. Great video as always. Yes please, a backtesting on this video would be appreciated as a gift to us. Thanks for the work you do. 👏
For all the ppl asking him to backtest SMT, its a feature that happens in alot of areas throughout the day, Its a confluence, not a strategy by itself. You have to combine it with real understanding of time/price and ICT models to use it properly. Go in the charts yourself and look for the exact scenarios he provides in the video. This isnt some math/numbers thing you can easily backtest with software. Its contextual. Do your own study on the charts
I did. I went back 1.5 months (on the m1) and observed over 103 SMT's that had MSS and BRKR's where i could enter and you know what the winrate was ? 93%. Plain SMT is about 65% as there are many fake SMT's. But the MSS and BRKR really do make a difference.
Damn this is one of your best videos I've watched. Thanks alot man. Hopefully you can make a video on a trend following turtle soup. Not the normal trend reversal one
You know what? You are good at appreciating people, but you are also good at predicting. The next video is on what you are asking.. It will blow your mind.
Good vid Mulham, but I disagree that you cannot look for SMT first to find a setup. I use it all the time as a leading indicator to where price is going, then I look for my setup. Example today Gold selloff during AR (I have a slight diff AR as well) had a SMT with silver (Futures) for 100 points. Doesn't have to be at only highs or lows either. Keep open mind when using ICT stuff imo.
This is the only strategy that works 90% of the time. Use it on the 1D/1W for directional bias. Like with bonds and dollar For daytrading on the m15-m5-m1, it's the holly grail, the only real objective signature of the algo.
@@Atif-69-420 I recently tested on the 1m a simple SMT strategy where you enter imediately after the SMT is formed. The gains are substantial but the accuracy is low like 65%. Wait for a AM macro ( optional ) to give you a SMT, look for a MSS to confirm the move, then enter in the BREAKER. This strat might give you less gains than the first but the acuraccy is 93%.
I have always noticed this..i never knew its called smt..its like all xxxusd pair moves parallel..but i take trade on the pair which looks very clear and has higher pip target... Its like both eu and gu has same setup..but the take profit is bigger on one pair..also the one pair has better structure..
I found this video so instructive, please make a backtesting video about it, make so much sense this is awesome !! I hope see a backtest video soooooon
Thank you for your video. I've learned a lot from it. I hope to see the backtest of this SMT+turtle soup strategy. I'm trying to find a strategy that suits me from your video, so having a backtest would be really helpful.
Hi Mulham thanks for sharing this with us. One of the best explanations of SMT I have come across. This is something I have struggled to understand but now have a clearer understanding thanks to you. Can you kindly tell me which pairs correlate with gold? as I mainly like to trade XAU/USD. Thank you.
Hi Sir Mulham. thank you for the tutorial videos. Can you please include the backtesting videos? Have a question, is it safe to trade the news, because usually, the sweep is so big showing a long wick or reaction? What news can we trade? As always, thank you very much.
Hello Mulham, When will you make a backtest video of this SMT technique? I ask you to do this, when you do this then we will understand fully. Why is backtest important? Because the first smt comes at 1h, that is, a smt occurs for the first time in 1h candles, then I pass 5m, conditions are formed at 5m and I take a transaction, turns out this may be fake and the transaction is stopped. Then I pass 1h, a smt occurs again and I immediately pass 5m, a smt occurs again at 5m and I enter the transaction, again fake, stop again:(How do you determine which smt at 1h can now return the price. For example, from the top, at 1h the candles are from the last level It can give fake returns many times before giving a return and before the price reaches its extreme point.
you described inverse correlation incorrectly at the start - if one instrument makes a higher high, the inversely correlated instrument should normally make a lower low. a higher low would be a crack in correlation.
Yeah.. I think sometime you just say it wrong when talking about higher highs and lower lows. It is CONFUSING but I am pretty sure I explained it correctly after. Thanks ❤️💯
Very nice one but your examples are already played out trades If you can make examples with replay... Let's do a back testing so we can know how to spot it before time
I have a question, why are most ict concepts taught around eu, gu, nq or es? how about other pairs like the swiss frank and other, cause i have tested some like gbpchf and the result was very poor compared to eu and gu.
I was about to subscribe and like this video, until I found out that you never reveal the timeframe alignment from HTF to LTF narrative/context which i learned from these two(2) youtube channels 1. Sir pickle - IRL to ERL 2 $niper - forever model - LTF SMT within or inside the HTF SMT. just one video 49minutes duration. You said price must seek external liquidity(HTF) having SMT, and look for a LTF internal SMT for confluence, and that's right. But you never reveal the timeframe alignment from HTF to LTF narrative/context, IDK if you're holding back or you just don't want to reveal it, it's ok, but I know them. 😊 There must be a timeframe alignment my friend, and you're only using 1hr timeframe from the start up to the end of the video. But anyways, I get it, you only use session killzones to find or spot SMT which is good for a quick scalping set up there which also fits your personality, attitude, and psychology.. Not for me... But thanks 😊🙏❤️
