omg when u said jurrassic park and superman - i just lost my marbles ! cuz they did it ! yay! lol - and i loved the way ur chest was out and eyes got big and u were so happy! i loved the superman theme too! and the movies too ! thx dan for havin such a great reaction !
This is one of the best reactions I have seen. I know you did this a while ago but this is my first time seeing you. What I loved was seeing your joy and connection to each piece and yeah, I'm guilty of burning eye syndrome myself. Voctave has a way of getting that response. If you really want to lose it, try "Where are you Christmas". It's brutal
This one always gets me...it's like a list of my favorite movies too. My favorite is the THEME FROM SUPERMAN...it's ICONIC ! I was 18 when I 1st saw it !!
Superman has a few years on me, but I still think its incredible. Even the cheesy effects couldn't bring that movie down, and the theme? Forget about it.
@@DanFromHali yep I know I'm old enough tro be your dad LOL...let's just put it this way, I was born just a few months after "The Apartment" wom an Oscar for Best Picture LOL. and Eisenhower was still President !! June 23, 1960 (in Coral Gables, FL, a suburb of Miami).
You know, its weird. Its everything about it. The song, the movie, the nostalgia of the movie. I still remember exactly where I was when I watched Home Alone for the first time. Triggers that sweet nostalgic memory.
E.T. was the only movie my grand parents , my parents , and I went to and watched together in the theater. One of the few childhood memories I can claim as being special to me.
Never be ashamed to cry :) being a man has nothing to do with it and we need to stop teaching young boys that they can't cry because it isn't "manly". Fully expressing your emotions makes you much stronger in my opinion. I cried too!!! Something about nostalgia does it for me.
🥺🩷 This was such a great reaction! Voctave is such a special group. Every member is a former or current Disney performer. I would recommend “The Prince of Egypt Medley,” and “The Showstoppers Medley.” If you ever have the opportunity to see them live, they do sound EXACTLY the same in person. You can also listen to The Voices of Liberty at Epcot. Many of them are in Voctave. Also, a musical recommendation. Aurora’s “Through the Eyes of a Child.” ❤
I've only seen two of your videos, the voctave ones, and I've found them very enjoyable and relatable! I love movie scores and when home alone and jurassic park hit, I can't help but well up. I hope to see more voctave in the future on your channel! U definitely have earned a sub from me either way!
Hey Josh, so Voctave is one group I have followed for a while, theres very few of their songs/videos I haven't watched or listened to. Howeverrr the ones I have not will be reacted to. In fact there is a two-in-one reaction coming tomorrow with Disney Showstoppers and Princess Medley's. I will forwarn. I may have got too excited at one point. Please forgive me!
All is good my dude. I've dedicated my time since commenting and subbing to checking out your non-voctave content lol even though I found your channel through voctave, through your videos I've found a channel whose reactions seem genuine and unforced. For that, your humor, and appreciation of the music, I am grateful. Oh and the overwatch merch lol
Love ur reaction Voctave is an extremely under represented group on this platform compared to groups like pentatonix but imo voctave has a more classic style of harmonization You can tell by how closely they match some of the original songs
For the more popular one may i suggest : Voctave - Disney princess Medley Voctave - feat kristin Pentatonix Disney love Medley And the really good one Voctave Prince of Egypt (It doesnt have Music video but its so good) Voctave Disney Villain and heroes. Also did you know that Kurt and Tiffany from Voctave reacted to your Reaction?
I literally just seen that. I was waiting for this to render, and seen somebody else commented about that. My girlfriend thought it was adorable aha. Gotta be honest, was both super cool, and one of the weirdest experiences of my life, when I watched it.
So much fun listening to Voctave. I remembered the song as they were started, because I watched these shows so many times. Surprises my sons when they realize what books or movies their old mom likes. They thought I would like chick flix..nope. Anyway thank you, it was fun.
I love this medley and I love watching reactions but I always cringe when they get to Hook because my ex played young Peter in it lol. But I get excited when they show the ET bicycle scene because that part where they fly up into the sky was filmed 3 blocks away from my house haha
Oh that's so neat. I've worked in film a bit myself, just local Canadian stuff, but I absolutely love the magic of film. The only real "Famous" thing that filmed close to me, was the original My Bloody Valentine that filmed in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia... and I mean The Mist tv series, as well as Locke & Key, Trailer Park Boys. But nothing like being able to say ET filmed in your neighborhood. That is so cool.
Movies (books and game stories too) made a terrific escape as a kid. They are my “vacations” to this day. And a good soundtrack makes everything better. Do you have a favorite movie soundtrack of all time??? Thanks Dan for reviewing this…
Yes, and there's a lot of videogames out there that wouldn't be the same without their amazing scores. As for my favorite movie soundtrack, I really don't know. Superman is definitely up there though. Superman, Back To The Future, Godfather. And I'd also say, while it has more of a jukebox soundtrack than a traditional score, one of my favorite pieces of music from a film, that I don't think gets enough credit is "You're So Cool" by Hans Zimmer from, True Romance.
Awesome Dan. I too liked Harry Potter movies, won't read the books. One always disappoints The blonde on the very end hitting the super high notes, I think use to be with Celtic Women
Kate Lott wasn´t part of them, i think you confuse her with Hayley Westenra. Same purity in high notes. Kate ges higher though. And the other blonde Tiffany gives Meav vibes. But I get the confusion. They easily could be part of them. Voctave was the first singing group that gave me as much musical bliss as Celtic Woman.
I avoided the Harry Potter books for years, because some of the people who recommended it to me back then, have terrible taste. Then during the COVID era, I had access to a service that gave me access to a lot of audiobooks, which I could play in the background while doing other things, and I took advantage of that to listen to some books that I would not have wanted to take the time to read otherwise. I finally got to War and Peace, for example, and yes, also, the Harry Potter series. The thing that struck me more than anything else about the Harry Potter series, is that the first six books have basically zero character development. Pretty much every single character (aside from maybe Snape, arguably), is a one-dimensional stereotype with no significant unique characteristics. I am prepared to excuse the author for making the lead character, Harry, dimensionless, on the grounds that he's supposed to be an "everyman" character so that a wide variety of readers can identify with him. Fine. Furthermore, though this is a bit of a stretch, I'm prepared to be generous and allow a similar argument to apply to Hermione Granger, on the grounds that she's the lead female character and maybe girls who read the book would want to identify with her. But there's no excuse for such major characters as Ron and Dumbledore and Hagrid and Malfoy, to have no significant individualized character development that deviates in any way from their core stereotype for book after book after book. It's just bad writing, period. The last book in the series, finally does some actual character development. But that far into the series, it's far too little, much too late. And yes, Voctave has a soprano-1 that can induce feelings of inadequacy in a piccolo. The live action Peter Pan movie that makes people cry is Hook, but that came out in the early nineties, and you can tell, because it's an important plot point in the movie that normal people can't afford cellphones, and having one is a mark of being someone super important in the fast-paced big-city business world. That didn't age well.
Many people didn't pick up on the fact that this was a tribute to John Williams. All these scores were written by John Williams.

I've heard. I hope they put out a video some day. Because its a great tune.

She really is amazing.

I have already watched quite a few of there stuff, so no promises. I'm not a good enough actor to fake not having already watched things.
“They do sing in herds”🤣🦖🦕😂

Nothing wrong with the odd chick flick. Mind you I don't know how chickflicky it is, but Love Actually still ranks as one of my favorite movies.
