👍When comparing receivers, you need to refer to the receiver circuit. The 747 uses three different chips, single-chip receivers, for different bands. The 747 also has a UHF amplifier based on a field-effect double-gate transistor BF1212WR (N-channel dual-gate MOS-FETs) in all bands. In the short wave range, si4735 is used. Thanks for the objective radio test!👍
Just shows you for very little money you can hear what the icom does same goes for the xhdata and the tecsuns and the malahit 1 to 2 hundred euros you'll hear with the right antenna that any hi end receivers will had cheap and very expensive receivers been a swl for 40 years currently using the icom ic 705 for swl thinking of buying the icom icr 8600 as well 👍
Good profiling, bad reception on certain bands (hiss) is not always systemic but probably a mismatch in choice of antennas. myself have good results with 136-147MHz short duck antennas with the airband. It is not always exactly tuned to a certain frequency range and performs exceptionally well on other bands. It reduces RF on certain bands (Better clarity) because it cant resonate on higher frequency interference. It seems. I think this test is not correct and by putting both radios next to each other is the reason. Each by themselves would perform equal. I do like your tests and reviews, keep making them.
@Evil Robot Santa Claus 🎁 💣 💥 Sure. They're slightly different class, but that's the point. In my opinion (which is just my personal view, nothing more), the PL-660'ish class is the lowest receiver class that makes sense of buying for some "serious" HF listening. There is some quality (also price) threshold, below which it does not make sense to go, becuase then it's rather a toy than a tool.

Qual seria sua escolha entre Retekess TR110, XHdata d-808 e Tecsun PL 330 ?
You have so cool equipment. Thanks for sharing.
Is there a compact wide frequence radio scanner worth buying?
Thanks for test. 73

Não recomenda nenhum modelo nessa categoria ? Pois o icom ic 705 é distante para muitos !
@Evil Robot Santa Claus 🎁 💣 💥 Qual seria o mais atualizado: TR 110 ou HRD 747 ?
@Evil Robot Santa Claus 🎁 💣 💥

Thanks again! There is also a video about fixing the wobbling problem 😉
Great video, thanks Paul, lucky I didn't buy either of these radios especially that 100 which must have a lot of screen noise.
Comprou qual ?
Olá, você conhece o HRD-757? @@sidneycavalcant
Thanks for your videos very enjoyable cheers had the 747 it's a no no for me cheers 👍
thank you
HRD 760 seems better
Both of them - wasted money
@Evil Robot Santa Claus 🎁 💣 💥 I'd recommend Tecsun PL-365 or some used PL-660. It's slightly more $, but they are actually good.
Or PL-330 is also worth of money 😉👍
