I finally did this pattern a wk ago as a stuffed toy for my mom's Maltese. She _loves_ her toy! I'm so proud! It was my 1st amigurumi-type project. I used Size 4 Cotton Peaches & Creme yarn & 3.5mm hook, because it's all I could find at the store I was at. I crocheted tightly. Worked like a charm & was perfect size! Small enough to carry in her mouth, but too large to accidentally swallow or choke.
I have no clue what kind of yarn I’m using but I sized up to a 4.5mm hook and these turned out AMAZING. This is a super easy pattern if you’re a beginner. I’m used to making washcloths and coasters and now I’ve moved on to this! I’m giving them out as party favours tomorrow :3
Tried to find the pattern in her blog but couldn't :(, so I typed it. Here it is!! Crochet dog bone pattern: 1slip knot 10ch skip 1ch R1: 8sc, (4sc), 7sc, (3sc) R2: *9sc, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc), (1dc, 1hdc, 1hc)* x2 R3: 10sc, (5dc), 2sc, (5dc), 11sc, (5dc), 2sc, (5dc), 1sc R4: 10sl st, *(2dc), (2dc), (3dc), (2dc), (2dc)*, 2sl st, *__*, 11sl st, *__*, 2sl st, *__*, 1sl st
Thank you for such a cute & easy pattern! My grandson wanted a dog bone for his stuffed toy puppy and by stitching it with edges touching it’s the perfect 🦴 bone! (+ Your English is excellent! I really like your other language videos too, they’re easy to follow along visually. I’ve subscribed!)
@MaryJ, This was my 1st project that was anything more than sc. I watched the video, wrote down the pattern, tried to follow it, and referred to the video if I needed help. The experience helped me more than you know. *My skills & confidence have improved a lot! Thank you, thank you, thank you!* I'm American. Your English & instructions were very clear & understandable, and your voice & beautiful Italian accent were very pleasant to listen to! You have _nothing_ to worry about!
Thanks for the tutorial! I think I’m going to make using a slightly larger hook size and sew only enough to use as a dispenser for the caca bags 😜 your English is fantastic! The hubby and I are moving to Italy in a few weeks as he’s Italian too! Can’t wait.
aduffduff0207 use a larger hook that should make it larger. I'm putting hdc around mine so I can stitch them together while making them a little bigger. Round 1) ch 1, Both bones hdc around, Round 2) whip stitch together in front loops of 1st bone to back loops of second bone. Start stuffing half way around adding as you go. Or you can sc them together or slip stitch together whichever you prefer. Happy Crocheting!
Has anyone else had trouble with one end of the dog bone? I have tried several times and only one end goes wonky where it is all out of balance. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated

How did it turn out for you? I'm trying and not getting a good size!
aduffduff0207 use a larger hook that should make it larger. I'm putting hdc around mine so I can stitch them together while making them a little bigger. Round 1) ch 1, Both bones hdc around,

That’s what I was looking for. How did it work out for you? What size hook did you use and how much of a hole did you leave.

Could you do this in a way that one side was open to put a roll of the poop collector bags in it?
You can try! When you sew It, Just leave One side opened and try to put the roll inside!
