I was worried whether Sam’s voice could keep up with the verses live but it sounds a lot better than most Architects songs live now! This is defo the direction Architects should go for imo
theres so much playback, even if he dont sing u can hear the vocals on the playback. also his voice sounds fried in the verses. the chorus sounds good indeed
I agree with the direction. While I'll always be more partion to the Lost Together, All Our Gods, and Holy Hell-sounds, this is a happy medium between their old style and their new and I think most of their fans can get behind it.
From what I’ve read, Sam was sick during this tour, so that may be the reason for the weird voice. And overall I think he’s having a slightly harder time transforming from vocals that have been prominent in albums like Holy Hell into the style they do now. Because there are lot of differences in the used vocals.
To everyone thinking there's playback, there isn't. The extra voice you are hearing is coming from Ryan, at the top left of the stage, doing backing vocals. As far as the autotune- yeah, its there. I don't know if this is more to suit their newer, more industrial/electronic sound or what, but it fits the songs just fine imo. As for the topic of Sam's screams... yeah... I got nothing for that. I'm hoping he takes a break and/or at least sheds some light on what's going on with his voice. He doesn't even really seem to be able to do the style of distortion that he was doing a few years ago :(
He needs a break and possible even vocal training. I remember when Holy Hell came out and his screams and clean vocals were wild. He sounds like he's struggling massively here and on the last tour.
@oscarc.4575 I just read it somewhere in that Antwerp video maybe hearsay but I watched that concert online and I went to Toronto and hes definitely way better and he kept saying sorry to Canada for ghosting them and said he went through therapy and he's not doing that again. I was like aww
@oscarc.4575 someone said with Melissa cross and loz from while she sleeps is getting training too because he definitely blew out his voice and had surgery . The whole while she sleeps was watching architects play I was next to them! This concert was fire🤘🤘🤘

they sound fucking great!!! sam is smashing that chorus!!!!
They are so good live!
Seen them at the beach!
Top 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
something's off on Sam's voice. He seems to be struggling to distort his screams the way he used to, kinda sounds damaged

His lows sound good but cleans and higher screams not so much there

I think it might be the massive touring because Sam was killing it right before classic symptoms tour.
Yeah his voice was already really worn when i saw them here in Sweden a few months back, dude needs a break without a doubt
I was there sooooo good❤❤❤❤
Sam’s fry/high screams 🥴
Idk what happened....
Jesus his highs sound rough as fuck
God damn it his voice is shot
I read the comments and expected this to be bad and... no?? I don't get what everyone's complaining about. He sounds perfect to me
Having been there in person, this video doesn’t do it justice. He was absolutely stellar last night.
His cleans are fine, his lows are okay....but the middle ground and what made Sam, Sam...seems dead and shot
@@mattm121 Damn right. Unfortunately...
@@mattm121 That lovely abrasive agonizing distortion
His chords sound like they’re swollen and he can’t get them produce the screams.
Ok so the reason he's doing false chord lows now is because he cant fry anymore...
I read hes taking vocal lessons now
I hope so. Where did you see this ?

voice Sam this year compared to last year are two different things :(
Was horrid last year too, there’s a reason why Architects were going towards less screamy and more melodic music
He should use playback not only for the chorus
i though the chorus were playback too.. but listen the second chorus 1:21off key note.. clearly not a playback.
I can hear the autotune on chorus, i guess thats the way to go now for Sam, also his screams sound so high pitched, maybe his voice is damaged
Sam sounds incredible idk y'all buggin
You might be tone def. He’s straining and struggling to hit so many notes and his screams aren’t even screams.
Pass the pipe
He really needs to take a break for a long time his voice was bad in the last tour and it is getting even worse
He sounds awful!!!
Architects died with Tom
