According to my research, about 1500 ships were sunk due hurricanes in the Vero beach area. Ofcourse 15 miles in either direction. Gold coin is usually spread for a good mile do to powerful underwater currents over hundreds of years. A simple geology course helps too. Anyone can search..but it helps when you know where and how to search. Gravity, sand and heavy metal.
Absolutely right. That area is loaded for a long stretch of coast. More treasure hunts to come in that spot soon as well as the Florida keys. Excellent finds. How much did they weigh?
I will have to do another video with them weighed out. 2 escudo gold was around 6.7 grams if my memory serves me correct. 8 reale was around 23 grams. I’ll do an updated video soon enough as I’m also going back down in the next couple months to treasure hunt 1715 fleet again as well as the the Florida keys for 1733 fleet artifacts. I’ll be doing some better live camera work too as I have the equipment this time around. Thanks for watching!

Silver 8 reale 300+, gold coins 1500+. Just depends on mints, conditions etc. Some really rare ones cost as much as an average house hahaha. Thanks for watching!

Over the years yes. Many many blank trips finding nothing but garbage. You get lucky every once in a while over 20 years haha
How do you find these things? Metal detector?
Yes. Used a Minelab equinox 800 detector and ckg sand scoop
Wow thats like over $1200 have you made a profit from finding these pirate treasure. Also how much are these coins worth roughly cos it could be a lot if it is pure gold.
Done well so far, however the hours are very many too haha. Gold escudo raw is around $1500-2000 range, 8 reale is $5-800 range from 1715 fleet. So far so good, but have around 150 hours or so into searching for these haha, hence the hourly pay rate not being as flashy haha
Why this area? Its the bulk of hurricanes in this area as ships were headed to St. Augustine FL. The 1st established city in U.S. Spanish settlement.
Exactly. I’m down in the Florida keys as I type this, detecting for 1733 wreck treasure. Video coming soon, don’t want to spoil it, but found something really cool yesterday literally a mile and a half from the San Pedro wreck a foot and a half down in the sand 😬

It’s a good time, lots of work and frustration at times lol. I’m a collector by nature so I rarely sell. One day I guess if/when I find enough, maybe I’ll release some back out haha. Thank you again for watching!!!

I used to have one too that I would wear. Sold that one and now wish I had it back but I’m a younger guy and always self conscious of wearing it too haha

I’ve thought about it. Tough to let go of them though. Lots of blood sweat and tears in finding them. Going back down soon though and will post some live hunts, depending on finds, I may start parting with some
Don’t sell them unless you really need the money and someone is willing to way over pay. Keep them in your family, they’re part of an amazing history. To each their own obviously, but I’d hold onto those if I were you. Treasure like that will only increase in value too. Amazing finds! 👌
