Although you made these shrinkys 2 years ago, I wanted you to know that I appreciate you experimenting on 3 different surfaces with different pens & pencils! I enjoy you making all you do interesting & fun even with the "not liking this so much" items. TU for sharing with us! 😊

Shrinky Dinks curl as the shrink but they do uncurl by the time that they are fully shrunk. Also when we do them at the summer camp I work at, we have the kids use sharpies

Sharpies work really well on shrink plastic. I also found that if you give the white plastic a light sanding it helps the pencils go on a bit better

Next time you try this (and maybe you have already, I'm still catching up!), you could try UV-curing resin to dome the shrinkies. Using ink/markers to color designs can cause the image to bleed with resin, but i bet paint pens would hold up better. :)

These turned out soooo cute. I agree that the Posca pens work best. I did these as a kid and have no idea how we colored them. Probably crappy pencils. Lol

Minori says that you have to use a light layer of Poscas. I've never used Poscas tho. I'm not spending that much money for paint pens when I'm sadly no artist. Lol

Lol, I have probably 6 or 7 different brands of paint markers and I still think poscas are the best quality, but there a couple of cheap ones on Temu that didn't end up being terrible.
