Dirt oval is a blast. I remember running my 1/10 2wd buggy at an oval race. Super competitive and not a lot of breakages. Hmm I only live 45 minutes away, defiantly going to make it out to some races soon. I've been out of the hobby for 6 our son years, but getting back into crawling with my 6 year old. Trying to teach him fundamentals.
Dirt oval racing is all about the drifting through the corners. That's what the huge fins are for,,, to keep from getting too sideways. I don't know if it can translate well to smaller scale, but If they can drift RC cars, then that's what the base vehicle should start out with. It may be just a simple thing as tire choice. But that back end HAS to drift out. Allowing those huge vertical fins to do their job. This just looks like RC cars regular racing to me. The beauty of oval dirt track racing is that beautiful drifting through the corners. They are the inventors of drifting. Watch some real dirt track oval racing and you'll see what I mean. Oh,,, I posted on Facebook about my B36KM not having hardware and haven't gotten a lead to the kit. My B36KM is patiently awaiting this. Hoping you can help a fellow AZ guy out???????? God Bless you and yours brother.
Oval racing is alot harder then everyone thinks..Its balls to the wall down the straights into the turn.. (and this is where you know or you dont know) if your car is setup properly you can let up of the gas just enough to not push then drop the hammer on the way out.. simple in theory yes.. but then do you have your rear steer setup properly? are you running inside straight or slight and outside progressive ? stiffer spring in the rear right softer in the front left? are you low line? is the shock oil right in the springs? etc.. etc. etc.. if these things are not setup right you just spin in circles on the track.. tire prep is another big aspect.. i started with offroad buggy and progressed into oval.. buggy is tough in its own regards its basically motocross style of racing..but to me oval is more fun because of a few different things.. 1. less of a learning curve and more people can enjoy it faster. 2. the speed im all about going fast and not really a ditch banger like offroad.. i like to hammer down the gas and go .. dive into the turn and hold on.. 3. it reminds me of my younger days going to watch dirt racing in the NE with modified, pure stock and sprint..anyways.. i love dirt oval its awesome..
Mark this is LD and just got into the game and already have four cars XMaxx a Revo a Kraken Vekta 5 and a kyosho just purchased the Custom Works Outlaw yep I hot it bad

Hey I have a question I want to get into Drag Racing I have a few tekno 1/8 scale buggies and trucks. They are all 4 wheel drive. But I do have 2 losi 1 is 22t buggy 2wd. And other is 2wd truck but motor sets infront of the wheels on that 1. And 3 stampede and 1 slash all of them are 2wd. I have 3 others but they are to big. Out of them what 1 would u set up to drag race.
It’s harder then what you think everybody thinks that it’s easy and call us names but it’s like an art kinda but just have to be smooth on the stick is all and learn how to feel the car
Grew up down the street…always wanted to get an R/C and go racing up there. After watching this, I think I'm going to look into it. Great video!

Instead of mod sprint, I’d wish they would start calling them 410 sprints
I miss wild Bill's but the guy that bought all of his stuff lives not even a mile from me
1st comment, 1st like!
