You can tell Wonho’s company is really making an effort with his career, the production keeps getting better each comeback and also letting him take part on the process

4:52 YES, Wonho is heavily involved in his music. He used to write and produce here and there back when he was in Monsta X as well, but not nearly as much as he does now that he's on his own and he can pretty much do whatever he wants. He's a damn good musician and I wish more people talked about that.

True. His musicality is often overshadowed by his visuals and personality. But I think there is a certain niche of Wonho fans who just really like his music. I often wondered, since I like him so much, if I would like him as much if his music wasn't as good. At this point, he can come up with a nursery rhyme and I would still support it but what he releases are just so damn good that I'm a proud and almost arrogant fan sometimes. Even Blue, which I think is underrated, is a piece of art.

I can't believe you didn't know Wonho did everything 😭😭😭 he has been producing and writing so much that even back when he was in monsta x, we knew of his capabilities, but he really found his sound now that hes solo and I'm so proud of him!
PD just likes to check if somebody else worked on the music, because as he said with MX, even tho some other people have produced their title tracks they have been able to maintain a consistent sound, same goes to Wonho, but in his case is because he has put his hand on his solo stuff :)

Even though he’s still severely underrated in Korea (he doesn’t pull in crazy YT views like other idols), it’s good that the business has been recognizing his talent lately. He bagged Best Musician in the Asia Artist Awards and Best Male Solo in the Hanteo Awards. If he was promoted as a soloist by Starship and not Highline, he’d probably be 10x more popular.
I agree.. highline doesn’t promote him properly... so frustrating
@@hohooh9495 It's not that they don't, it's that they can't. Wonho is their only moneymaker so they can't take too big risks anyway with him, but Starship definitely holds Highline by its throat, banning them from giving him too much attention, as that would inevitably bring the haters in the house, and those are the same ones who would not mind attacking Monsta X in the same breath. By keeping Wonho somewhat restrained Starship keeps the main bullies quiet (spineless I know but MX has been thus far the only moneymaker in Starship... until IVE came at least).
@@luskaneseprince I agree. I figured they couldn’t exactly reinstate his contract with SSE after the scandal because it was already terminated. They had to sign him onto a different label entirely to dodge any further legal loopholes. I’m just glad Highline consistently invests in his comebacks. The production value and quality of his music videos and albums are still at par with SSE. It wouldn’t hurt to see him represent or be the face of a brand though (Tom Ford are you even listening?).
Agree...WONHO is unique, his music is his own soul, he really is showing all of him in it. Looove this new song soo much, and the video reallly gooood quality.
I love that he found his niche. Like Chung Ha, he smoothly transitioned from a Kpop group to an EDM solo career, and I'm here for it.

you know how seventeen and monsta x have been close friend since their debuts? wonho even recently shared Hoshi helped out with this choreo! we know Hoshi is one of seventeen's main choreographers, but this is the first time he's done any choreographing outside of seventeen! their friendship is so precious I'm gonna cry 😭
Hoshi lending his choreography chops on this track makes sense, as I can see his influence even ever the slightest! I didn't know they are friends, how special is that?! ❤️❤️

Wonho has mentioned that this comeback song was something very new style wise and also beat wise! He said the beat is something that hasn’t been used before. I truly truly love Wonho’s songwriting and producing! Also for the mv it was a new team this time he said. Lose was my absolute #1 as well but this one has taken over🔥

I absolutely loved this comeback! The base was hypnotizing, I couldn't get this song out of my mind. Also, the MV was so well done, loved the camera work, the colours, the outfits, the choreo - it suits Wonho so much! Also, loved the part of the choreo where it looks like an eye, really clever. Wonho gets better each time and I'm here for it. Definitely in my TOP 10 list this year.

I 100% agree with you saying Wonho felt like a machine here! Honestly, I got a lot of Winter Solider vibes from this video, from that machine like quality, the wolves, and even the cropped hoodie outfit. That vibe is super interesting to me, especially since people often call him Captain Korea!
The scenes of him walking through the forest and snow gives me Winter Soldier/Bucky vibes. Idk why…but it reminds me so much of Winter Soldier😂but this mv and song are sooooooo good! It’s probably my favorite of his🖤

I was holding on to Lose, but I have to admit Eye On You is fighting for favorite title. It just keeps growing in my mind. My appreciation for the video has now grown as well after learning how much work went into the editing. There is so much going on that slowing it down revealed a lot. It does feel like the people who work with him care about what they are doing. I feel that with the dance team as well, and I often cheer for them just as much. I am very impressed with this effort. Wonho continues to show himself as a complete artist, and he is successfully carving out a space for himself in kpop.
Bruh plz Wonho‘s tracks always make me tear up because they straight up feel like ASMR. Idk it scratches my brain. The fact that he makes his own music (and is incredibly skilled) only makes it better because he can be versatile yet still sound like himself. Not to mention I’m a SUCKER for bass and he never skips that. Also the mvs are insanity.

Wonho always releases bangers
He has found his own color, he feels comfortable in it and he doesn't feel the need to adapt to something else, his sound is so distinctively Wonho and he knows how to play around with it, the deep base is really so him... This is my favorite of all his releases so far.

Yes, Wonho has been producing/composing songs even back then when he was part of Monsta X. I could see his style and it gets bolder since his debut as a soloist. This is why self-producing idol is top tier, they surprise us with new things. Either you like it or not but it's more interesting. Of course, I love him and his talent.

This may sound cliche or corny but I truly believe it's all about Wonho's personality and professionalism. I can imagine working with him in any capacity is a joy and he naturally brings out the best in his team.
I am REALLY enjoying watching his evolution and also how he has kept certain elements since the very beginning. His core "classy stripper moves" have been there since debut with Monsta X. And when I heard that Jooheon was helping him learn music production I was like "Ahhhh snap....we aren't ready"....lol. Then when you add in his magical "comeback kid" character arch.....gesssh.... THIS MAN CAN DO NOTHIING BUT WIN! Yes, I am a hardcore Wenee but just as a lover of ALL MUSIC and outstanding people... I am in heaven whenever Wonho does his thang.
